Tracing missing persons can take much patientdetective work. But a special kind of “private eye” cantrace the missing ancestors of whole peoples by

因為since做介詞, 表示 “自從……起” 之意時,后面一般不跟表示一段時間的'名詞.
6. 將difference改為similarity
從后面的例子我們可以看出,作者在這里講述的是文字的驚人的相同之處,而不是不同之處.
7. 將likely改為alike
likely 意思為 “很可能的”,不做 “相同的,相似的”解.
8. 將where改為why
這里不是問地點而是問原因,從后面的because也可以看出.
9. 將close改為副詞closely
因為形容詞close不能修飾過去分詞related.
10. 將18改為 18th.
The more so because “father” was but one of a host of such coincidences.
這句話的the more so because是什么意思呢, 以為人家出版社錯了,不過看兩本資料都這么寫. 有誰看得懂么?還是說真的是出錯了.
原來the more so because意思為: 更何況.
