The costumes in Peking opera are graceful，magnificent，elegant and brilliant，most of which are made in handicraft embroidery.As the traditional Chinese patterns are adopted，the costumes are of a highly unique aesthetic value.
難點(diǎn)注釋
1.第一句句子較長，但是句子結(jié)構(gòu)不復(fù)雜，“自1919年……”譯為Since引導(dǎo)的時間狀 語從句，后面的“足跡遍及全球，對中、西文化交流……做出了卓越的.貢獻(xiàn)”可譯為兩個并列的謂語。
2.第二句中，“北京京劇院”譯為Peking Opera House of Beijing;翻譯“已經(jīng)應(yīng)邀……” 時應(yīng)注意時態(tài)，此處應(yīng)使用現(xiàn)在完成時態(tài)。
3.第三句中，“中外文化交流”與“世界人民的友好往來”是并列成分，可以翻譯為兩個 并列的賓語。
4.第四句中，為了使句子結(jié)構(gòu)看起來不那么復(fù)雜，“采用中華民族的傳統(tǒng)圖案，有獨(dú)特 的審美價值”翻譯時需獨(dú)立成句，該句的主語是“京劇服飾”。

燈籠作為民間傳統(tǒng)工藝(craftwork)，現(xiàn)在仍受到全國各地的歡迎。燈籠藝術(shù)，作為中國珍貴傳統(tǒng)文化的一部分，在民間仍被繼承(inherit)著。我們可以說燈籠在中國悠久的歷史中發(fā)揮著巨大而不可替代的作用，它象征著燦爛的中國文化。中國燈籠不但在中國歷史上扮演著重要的角色，在國際發(fā)明、發(fā)展上也做出了巨大的貢獻(xiàn)。一些西方國家通過傳教士(missionary)活動和對外貿(mào)易，掌握了中國燈籠的設(shè)計及制作技巧，極大地促進(jìn)了其社會發(fā)展。

難點(diǎn)注釋
1.第一句中，“民間傳統(tǒng)工藝”在這里就是指“燈籠”，可以處理為同位語。
2.第二句中，“在民間”這里主要指人，譯作among the people比較合適。
3.第三句中，“燈籠在中國悠久的歷史中發(fā)揮著巨大而不可替代的'作用，它象征著燦爛 的中國文化”在翻譯時前后兩個分句應(yīng)該使用不同的時態(tài)，前一個分句用一般過去時，第二個分句則應(yīng)該使用一般現(xiàn)在時。
4.第四句中的“做出了巨大的貢獻(xiàn)”譯為made great contributions to…。
5.在最后一句中，“通過……”譯為by means of…更貼切。
