68.A French Student 一個法國學生
A French student goes to London for his holiday. 一個法國學生去倫敦渡假。
He knows a little English, but he can't speak very well. 他懂一點英語，但他說的不太好。
One day he goes to a restaurant. He wants to have some eggs, but he can't remember the English word for "egg". 一天他去一家餐館，想吃一些雞蛋。但他不記得雞蛋用英語怎么說了。
He looks around and sees a picture of a hen. 他看看四周看見了一只母雞的圖片。
He shows the picture to the waiter. 他把圖片指給服務員看。
"What do you call her children?" he asks. " Chicks sir" "And what do you call chicks before they're born?" “你怎么稱它?”他問。“小雞，先生。”你們在小雞沒生出來叫它什么?

69.Under the Ground 在地下
Above the ground there are many things. 地面上有許多的東西。
We can see flowers, trees, animals, birds, and mountains. 我們可以看見花、樹、動物、鳥和山脈。
There are also a lot of things under the ground. 地下也有許多的東西。
We bring coal and oil up from under ground. 我們從地下帶來了煤和石油。
We use coal and oil in many ways. 我們在很多方面都使用煤和石油。
We can heat houses and run trains and machines with coal and oil. 我們可以使用煤和石油給房子取暖，開動火車和機器。
In some places, beautiful stones are under the ground. 在一些地方，地下有著漂亮的石頭。 They are jewels. In some places there is iron, gold, and silver under the ground. 它們是珠寶。在一些地方的地下有鐵、金子和銀子。 We also can find animals under the ground. 我們還可以在地下找到動物。
Some animals build their home under the ground. 有些動物在地下建他們的家。
70.One Man in a Boat 船上的一個人
Fishing is my favourite sport.I often fish for hours without catching anything. 釣魚是我最喜歡的運動。我經常釣幾個小時的魚什么都釣不到。
But this does not worry me. Some fishermen are unhappy. 但這并不使我懊惱。有些釣魚的人卻很不開心。 Instead of catching fish, they catch old boots and rubbish. 他們沒有釣到魚，而是釣上來一些舊鞋子和垃圾。

"You must give up fishing!" my friends say. “你必須放棄釣魚!”我的朋友說。
