　　No one knows for sure just how old kites are. In fact， they have been in use for centuries. 25 centuries ago， kites were well-known in China. These first kites were probably made of wood. They may even have been covered with silk， because silk were used a lot at that time. Early kites were built for certain uses. In ancient China， they will use to carry ropes to cross rivers. 　　短文聽力訓練的方法

　　Step 1：第一遍聽磁帶時認真做題，對所選取的每段文章都認真仔細，注意時間，模擬考場氛圍。做完以后還需注意統計對錯個數，并分析選項設置特點，練習快速掃描選項的能力。

　　Step 2：脫離文字材料再聽4-5遍磁帶。此時絕對不允許照著文字材料聽，應該反復使用錄音機上的重復鍵，盡最大努力聽懂全文內容。聽第5遍或第6遍的時候，可以一邊聽一邊將全文筆錄下來，然后對照文字材料，看看筆錄有什么問題，分析聽不懂的原因，是語音、詞匯還是語法？然后有的放矢地加以解決。

　　Step 3：在足夠熟悉此段落中的內容后，打開文字材料，一邊聽錄音一邊看，并在段落中相應考點和問題答案，仔細體會，分析自己為什么被某些干擾項誤導。

　　Step 4：跟著磁帶大聲朗讀，以提高自己的語速。如果自己的語速能基本跟上聽力材料的語速，再做同類型題目，困難就不大了。

　　另外，練習過程中有一些事項值得我們注意，請大家養成良好的習慣，盡量避免：

　　1.鴕鳥式聽法。

　　很多同學聽力過程中沒有動手的習慣，聽就是聽，在做題時才努力回憶與該題有關的信息。甚至有同學喜歡閉著眼睛聽或者把頭低下來，伏在桌子上聽，并認為這樣注意力更集中，但這樣往往容易走神，聽的效率非常低。

　　2.多而不精。

　　對于已經聽過的材料，很多同學都很少再聽，這是一個錯誤的觀念。片面追求練習的量，并不能有效提高做聽力題時的悟性，必須用心去感受才能收到顯著的效果。

　　3.不愿對著文字材料大聲朗讀，認為聽力就是聽力，沒有必要和朗讀口語聯系起來。

　　其實聽力考的是口頭語言，口語提高了，聽力也就自然而然上去了。同時朗讀可以培養正確的語音語調，可以加強我們對文章的領悟力。

　　4.訓練時間安排不得當。

　　聽力訓練需要思想高度集中，故時間安排以每天精神最佳時候為宜。時間不宜過長,每次連續聽半小時到一小時就可。另外，由于聽力是一種習慣成自然的技巧訓練，所以最好每天安排一段時間，切忌三天打魚，兩天曬網。

　　總之，BEC中級短文聽力并不可怕，如果我們能夠宏觀把握，平時堅持"用心去聽"，我們肯定能夠從不同角度、不同層次提高自己的英語語言能力。
