英語閱讀語義題的得分技巧

一、通過上下文含義推斷的方法

題目：The underlined word“capture”probably means_______B A.encouraged B.attracted C.frightened D.understood根據斜體字would see我們可以推斷知道：capture含義為：attracted只有被事物所吸引了，才會想要去看，所以答案就出來了。
二、通過找近義詞的方法
But the most popular theory is that a drought forced the Anasazi toleave the canyon，After scientists examined the growth rings of ancienttrees of the area，they discovered that rainfall was scarce in 1090 andagain in 1130
題目：The underlined word“scarce”in the last paragraphprobably means A______

根據斜體字drought我們可以知道：scarce含義為：much lessthan needed

四、通過詞形即構詞法的方法

題目：The underlined word“fundraising”in paragraph I probablymeans A______
A.raising funds B.improving funds
C.increasing the number of fund D.founding a new organization
根據詞形知道它是合成詞，由fund和raise合成，那就可以推斷出此詞含義肯定與之有關，所以推斷出答案為：raising funds。
