GRE閱讀耗時排除題技巧

　　什么是GRE閱讀排除取非題？

　　排除題俗稱“except題”，是GRE閱讀中比較容易拿分的題目，主要考察考生對閱讀文章中細節的掌握情況，它的提問方式一般是：The author mentioned all of the following in…， EXCEPT，主要可以用以下方法來解答。

　　GRE閱讀排除題解題方法介紹

　　1。通過精確定位來排除

　　如果前兩種方法均不可以使用的話，我們就只能將選項精確的在文中定位，找出選項和閱讀文章中的對應關系，注意選項中的同義代換與原文是否對應。有時會出現這樣的情況，選項中有四個是和題目的關鍵詞定位在一個段內的，但其中一個選項卻定位在了另一個段落內，那么這個選項就是答案。

　　注意：正確答案一般是作者在文中明確反對過的，或者是根本未提到，再或者就是定位的段落未提到的（選項的關鍵詞落在別的段落）說法。

　　2。通過強對比形式來排除

　　如果題目中是關于A的提問，但是原文中沒有直接給出與A相關的描述。不過，文中出現了與B相關的特征描述，而B呢正好是與A形成強烈對比的對象。那么我們只需要把B的特征取非就可以得到答案了。一般文章中會出現unlike，in contrast to，compared with，閱讀的過程中遇到該類別的關鍵詞注意要做筆記。

　　3。發現無關信息直接排除

　　如果某一個選項和文章大意沒有關系或者根本沒有提到過，那么它一定就是正確答案了。因此，在閱讀的過程中要留意文章每段的中心意思，理出文章的寫作思路，以此來作為細節判斷的依據。

　　如果能夠將題目定位到某一段，那么就可以用該段的TS（Topic Sentence主題句）來進行排除，和TS無關的就是正確選項。

　　Fallois proposed that Proust had tried to begin a novel in 1908，abandoned

　　it for what was to be a long demonstration of Saint—Beuve‘s blindness to the

　　real nature of great writing，found the essay giving rise to personal memories

　　and fictional developments，and allowed these to take over in a steadily

　　developing novel。

　　譯文：Fallois提出，Proust曾試圖于1908年開始寫一部小說，后又因為某一原因——即Saint—Beuve長期以來所展現出的對偉大文學作品真正本質的盲目無知——而放棄了它，發現該文章引發了某些個人的回憶和小說虛構情節的發展，最終讓這些內容以一部穩定發展的小說這一形式取而代之。

　　解釋：本句主要考察的是句子的復雜修飾。從that引導的賓語從句開始，以列舉的方式描述其動機的變化。但是因為abandoned之后的狀語for…的結構復雜、用詞抽象，并且for后面是what引導的賓語從句中套的另外一個賓語從句，如此以來這個復雜的結構就隔斷了句子前后的整體邏輯，干擾到考生對整句話的理解，所以這個結構不太容易被看出來。

　　解法：看到句子比較長又比較難理解，就先找句子的主謂結構，然后就不難發現該句子的大致結構為Proust had tried to…，abandoned…，found…，and allowed…，之后再逐一解決各個小分句后面的部分，各個擊破，最后整個句子的意思就迎刃而解了。
