一、目標再現
1.能夠熟練運用所學知識來談論"運動",特別是一些和生活密切相關的運動項目。
2.掌握本單元的有關"water sports"的單詞和短語,能聽、說、讀部分地名,重點掌握 no mater,both…and…,all over等短語或習慣用語的用法。
3.進一步學習現在完成時態,特別注意它與already,just,yet,very等詞的連用,同時能夠區別它們的用法。
4.能夠熟練運用現在完成時態,用它來表達由過去開始,和現在相聯系的動作或影響,能夠區別一般過去時與現在完成時的不同。

二、重點難點解析
1.Whats the surfing like today? 今天沖浪怎么樣?
surf作名詞,意為"拍岸之浪,拍岸浪花";作動詞用,意為"沖浪,作沖浪運動"。surfing是surf的動名詞形式,surfer意為"沖浪者,沖浪運動員"。surfing是一項水上運動,水上運動的項目還有water-skiing滑水,water polo水球,dive跳水,Swim游泳。
2.Have you ever been to Hawaii? 你去過夏威夷嗎?
have been to. . .意思是"到過,去過",表示曾到過某地,但此時人已不在那兒了。而have gone to…意思是"去了某地",現在人可能在去的途中或已在那個地方了,而不在說話人處。例如:
(1)Have you ever been to Hong Kong? 你曾經去過香港嗎?
(2)Jim has gone to England. 吉姆去英國了。
(3)Where is Lily? Has she gone to the library? 莉莉在哪兒?她去圖書館了嗎?
3.The beaches there are better than the ones here 中的the ones如何理解和使用?
這里的ones代表前面出現beaches。one用于表示前面同名稱的一類事物。ones表示復數概念。例如:
-Have you a watch? -Yes, I have a good one.
一你有表嗎?一有,我有一塊好表。
-Have you got any pens? -Yes, I have got many good ones.
一你有鋼筆嗎?一有,我有許多好鋼筆。
注意:在用one(ones)作代詞時,有幾點要慎重:
①序數詞不能用one代替,伴有基數詞的名詞可用one,ones代替。例如:
As we have finished the first chapter, now well read the second.
我們讀完了第一章,現在讀第二章了。
(不能將 the second改為 one)
He has two red pencils and two blue ones.
他有兩支紅鉛筆和兩支藍鉛筆。
②it(them)和one(ones)同是作代詞,代替前面出現的事,但用法不同。
讓用于同名稱的同樣事物;one用于同名稱的另一樣東西。例如:
-Have you still the radio set? -No. I have sold it.
一你有收音機嗎?一沒有,我把它賣了。
(這里的訂是指前面的the radio set,它們是同一個無線電收音機。)
-Is this fountain pen yours? -No, it is my sisters. Mine is the one on the table.

-Do you want the watch? -Yes, I want it.

4.I dont know how to surf. 我不知道怎樣沖浪。
how to surf是"疑問詞 + 動詞不定式"作賓語。英語中,"疑問詞 +動詞不定式"可作一些及物動詞的賓語,疑問詞可以是what,which,who,whose等疑問代詞,也可以是when,where,how等疑問副詞?梢杂么私Y構作賓語的動詞有:know,decide,find out,tell,forget,remember,see,understand等。這類簡單句往往是由(含特殊疑問句變成的賓語從句的)復合句轉化改寫而成。例如:
(1)She didnt know which blouse to buy. ( =She didnt know which blouse she should buy.) 她不知道該買哪件襯衫。
(2)Im thinking about what to say. ( =Im thinking about what I should say. ) 我在考慮說什么。
5.Now it is enjoyed by people all over the world. 現在全世界的人都喜歡這項運動。
is enjoyed是被動語態,by people all over the world 被全世界的人。這一句也可改寫成: People all over the world enjoy it now.
6.Its neither too hot nor too cold all the year round. 全年天氣既不太冷也不太熱。
neither… nor… 既不……也不……,它們可以用來連接相同的兩個句子成分或詞類。如果連接的是主語,則謂語與第二個主語保持一致。
例:(1) He isnt a student. Im not a student.
Neither he nor I am a student.
(2) He doesnt speak French. He doesnt speak Japanese.
He speaks neither French nor Japanese.
Neither…nor的完全肯定形式是:both…and或not only…but also。
但both…and如連接主語,則謂語動詞用復數,not only…but also與第二個主語保持一致。
例:He likes singing. I like singing, too.
Both he and I like singing. ( =Not only he but also I like singing. )
7. Li Lida, a 12-year-old schoolboy first tried to cross the Qiongzhou Channel in June, 2000.
在2000年6月,一個12歲的男生李立達第一次試著橫渡瓊州海峽。
(1)21-year-old在這里可以看作是一個合成詞,作形容詞用,用來修飾schoolboy。在英語中,"數字+量詞"構成的復合形容詞,中間要加連字符號,量詞用單數形式。
例如:100-metre race 一百米賽跑。
two-month holiday兩個月的假期。
試比較:The boy is five years old.
He s a five-year-old boy.
(2)cross為動詞,是"越過、穿過"的意思。意思相近的詞有:through(prep).穿過,指從……(內部或空間)中穿行,across(prep).橫過,指從物體的表面由這邊到另一邊。另外,through可作副詞用。
cross與across含義基本相同,但cross是動詞。over也可表示"橫過;通過",著重強調越過某物,從高空中越過。
例:(1)Jack was through with the English test.
杰克通過了這次英語測試。
(2)The old lady crossed the street carefully and slowly.
那老婦人慢慢地、小心地走過街去。
(3)The ship passed through the bridge.
輪船過了橋。(從橋下穿過)
(4)The boy climbed over the wall to get his ball.
那男孩爬過墻去取球。
(5)The blind man walked across the street slowly.
那盲人慢慢地走過街道。
8.His teacher, Mr Feng, spoke highly of his students 中的speak highly of ?
這里的speak highly of是指"高度評價","贊揚"的意思。例如:
The teachers present all spoke highly of his spirits.
在場的老師都稱贊他的精神。
We should speak highly of his saving the girl in the cold water against the risk of his life.
他冒著生命危險,在寒冷的水中救出這個女孩子,應該受到贊頌。
He was spoken highly of by the girls parents.

not only…but also意思是"不僅……而且",應連接相同的語法成分。當連接主語時,謂語動詞采用就近原則,即隨后面的主語而定。例如:
(l)Not only you but also your father is coming. 不但你,而且你父親也要來。(連接主語)
(2)Jane is not only beautiful but also kind. 珍妮不但漂亮,而且人非常好。(連接表語)
(3)He plays not only the piano but also the violin. 他不僅彈鋼琴,還拉小提琴。(連接賓諾)
(4)They not only sing but also dance. 他們不但唱還跳。(連接謂語)
10.no matter +what/who/which/when/where /how
無論……。No matter這個詞組可以用來接兩個分句,不能只用于一個分句。另外,no matter后面用的是現在時,其含義卻是將來。
No matter what you say, I wont believe you.
無論你說什么,我都不會相信你。(解釋是沒有用的)
No matter who telephones, say Im out. 無論誰打電話來,都說我出去了。
No matter when you come, youll be more than welcome.
無論你什么時候來,你都會受到熱烈地歡迎。
No matter how hard you try, youll never lose your English accent.
無論你怎么努力,你都不會改掉你的英文口音。
11. none,neither
none一般指三者或三者以上"都不",是代詞all的反義詞。當談到兩個人或兩件事的時候,不用non,而用nether,意思是"兩者都不",是代詞both的反義詞。none和none of作主語時,謂語動詞即可以用單數形式,也可以用復數形式。當表示一個人或物"都不"時,一般用單數形式;當表示所有的人或物"都不"時,一般用復數形式。當它在非正式的文體中更常用復數形式。neither,neither of作主語時,謂語動詞一般用單數形式。但如果是neither…nor…"既不……也不;兩者都不"作主語時,謂語動詞根據nor后面的主語而定(也稱為鄰近原則)。
None of her students are/is here.她的學生中沒有一個在這里。
None of those buses go to Tianjin.
那些公共汽車沒有一輛是開到天津去的。
Neither of her parents helps her. 她的父母都不幫助她。

12. journey和trip的區別
(1)journey適用范圍很廣,可指陸路、海程或飛程。但在距離較短時一般不用這個詞。
Its over 40-hour journey by train from Beijing to Yunnan.
從北京到云南乘火車需要四十多小時的路程。

(2)trip嚴格說來指"短途旅行",目的可以是公事或娛樂。但在日常用語中也可與 journey互換。

1、 形容詞的用法
形容詞是用來修飾、描繪名詞的,通常在句中作定語、表語或賓補,有時還可作狀語。如:

某些形容詞與定冠詞連用表示一類人作主語時,謂語通常用復數形式。如:
The rich and the poor live in different parts of the city.
The English like to be with their families.
多個形容詞作定語修飾名詞的順序:

。1) 規則形式
一般說來,單音節詞及少數雙音節詞在后加-er; --est 來構成比較級和最高級;其他雙音節詞及多音節詞在前加more, most.如:

(1) already, yet, still
already表示某事物已經發生,主要用于肯定句;yet表示期待某事發生,主要用于否定句和疑問句;still表示某事還在進行,主要用于肯定句和疑問句,有時也可用于否定句。如:

(2) too, as well, also, either
too, as well和 also用于肯定句和疑問句,too和as well多用于口語,一般放在句末,而also多用于書面語,一般放在句中與動詞連用。either用于否定句和否定的疑問句,往往放在句末。如:

㈠當疑問代詞或疑問副詞作為介詞的賓語時
理論上要在介詞后面出現,但在實際用法上,它被轉移到疑問句前頭,介詞則留在句尾。例如:

、俨荒芨臑椤癆re you dreaming of what?”也不能是“Of what are you dreaming?”②不是“Are you from where?”,更不是“ From where are you?”

(the relative pronoun in the restricted adjective clause)之前;因此,我們可以③表示心意,但不能用④這樣的句子:

、缭诓豢煞珠_的片語動詞(the inseparable phrasal verb)里,如果介詞在句尾,也只好隨遇而安,不便移動。例如:

、 Such a matter should be immediately dealt with.
⑨ An 8% increase in salary is not to be sniffed at.
、 The rising cost is really a thing to be reckoned with.
、璁攷Ы樵~的不定式動詞修飾名詞而又出現在句尾時,這介詞只好保留在原位。例如:

綜上所述,英語介詞不但可以在句尾出現,有時還非在句尾不可!
除了所舉的情況之外,盡量避免把介詞放在句尾。例如17-19雖沒有什么問題,但不如20-22好和自然:

主動語態比被動語態直接而有力,多用主動語態,可以使文章充滿朝氣,呈現活力。在下列兩組句子中, (b)比(a)有力:
(1) a.My first visit to New Zealand will always be remembered by me.
b. I will always remember my first visit to New Zealand.
(2) a.The crowing of cocks could be heard at dawn.
b. The cocks crow came with dawn.
雖然如此,在某些情況下,非用被動語態不可。前此已提過這事,這里不再重述。這里只有指出其中一點,就是有些動詞,如 "base, schedule, expect, suppose" 等,通常以被動語態形式出現。
例如:
(1)This survey was based on facts.
(2)The last train is scheduled to leave at 9pm.
(3)You are expected to come on time.
(4)All are supposed to work hard.
除了上述這些動詞之外,還有十種,幾乎都以被動式出現。
(一)有關“疾病”的動詞,如:
(1)Helens left lung is infected.
(2)He is confined to the house by illness.
(3)The old man was seized with sudden chest pains.
(二)有關“疲乏”的動詞,如:
(4) I am completely exhausted after the game.
(5)Tom was done up after the race.
(三)有關“喜樂”的動詞,如:
(6)The children were fascinated by the toys.
(7)We were delighted to hear the good news.
(8) I am very pleased to see you here.
(四)有關“延遲”或“障礙”的動詞,如:
(9)The workers were held up by the heavy rain.
(10)The road was blocked by ice.
(11)The train was delayed by 30 minutes.
(五)有關“慣性動作”的動詞,如:
(12)Tom is addicted to smoking.
(13)Foreign workers are quite used to hard work.
(六)有關“煩惱”或“焦急”的動詞,如:

要注意的一點是,上面這十類動詞有些已漸漸失去了動詞力量,轉化為慣用語。
例如:(1) Air and water are indispensable to me.
(2) She likes going out with friends or playing outdoor games.
(3) Most workers have a good income, so they look very happy.
從屬連詞連接兩個或兩個以上的分句,形成復雜句中的從屬分句。例如:
(4) He said that he did not want to go .
(5) Many things have happened since I last saw him.
(6) You may come if you want to.
上述連詞的用法,看起來不難,但錯誤也難免。下面是些好例子:
(1) This book may be used both as a text as well as a reference book.
這里的“as well as”和“both”不能搭配,應該將“as well ”改為“and”,使“both……and……”變成關聯連詞( correlative conjunction)
(2) He not only speaks Mandarin but also English.
這里的“not only”應該移到“speaks”后面,使這個動詞兼顧兩個等立賓語:“Mandarin”和“English”。
(3) Although he is fat, but he is very weak.
英語里的“although”和“but”是不見面的 ,因此這句里的“ but”要去掉,不然“although”就要出來。
(4) Jim is not so strong like you.
這里的“not so”必須和“as”連成一體;介詞“like”是不適宜的。
(5) No sooner had we reached our destination, they left.
"No sooner"必須和"than" 配成關聯連詞,把"than" 省掉是不對的,應該補上:
No sooner had we reached our destination than they left.
這句子的意思也可透過“as soon as”反映出來:
“As soon as we reached our destination, they left.”
(6) I took a taxi and which took me to the station.
這里的并列連詞“and”是多余的,必須去掉。如果要保留“and ”也可,但是形容詞分句里的關系代詞“Which”要改成主語“it” ,使整個句子變成并列分句如下:
I took a taxi and it took me to the station.
(7) My friend came up to me and held my hand, said good-bye excitedly.
這里的“and”應該用來連接最后兩個謂語才對:
My friend came up to me, held my hand, and said good-bye excitedly.
不然,就要把“said”改成“saying”。
My friend came up to me and held my hand, saying good-bye excitedly.
1.Over / above "Over"和"above"這兩個介詞的意思是在…….上面。“我們可以說(1)The sky is above our heads,也可以說(2)The sky is over our heads.我們也可以說(3)He Spread his handkerchief over his face.但不能說(4)He spread his handkerchief above his face. 同樣的,可以說(5)John has travelled all over the world以及 (6)The King reigns over a great empire,但是(5)和(6)里的 "over"卻不可以"above"取代。
2.bring / take "Bring"和"take"的意思相同,但用法并不一樣。 "Bring"指東西向說話的人的方向去,如: (7) Bring me the book, please. "Take"指東西向說話的人離去,如: (8)Take the dictionary away from me . 由此可見,"bring"和"take"都表示東西要移動,只是方向不同:"bring"向說話者而來;"take"向說話者而去。
3.Certain / sure "Certain"和"sure"都含“確定”之意,只是在句中的用法有些不同。下列第九到十一的句子都對,但第十二的句子就不行了: (9) We are certain to come to the party. / Tom is sure to come today.
(10) I am not certain whether I will be able to do it. / Are you sure that you will do it? (11) It is certain that Jason will leave me.
(12) It is sure that Jason will leave me.
4. rob / Steal 雖然這兩個字都是及物動詞,但用法不同,不可互相取代。 "Steal"的賓語通常是被偷的東西,如“錢,手表”之類。"Rob" 的賓語必須是“人”或“地方”。如: (13) A thief entered her house and stole her valuables. (14) A stranger robbed a passer-by. (15) Who robbed the bank last night? 5.chase / follow 這兩個動詞,一個是“追逐”,另一個是“跟隨”,都是人家在前,他在后,但用起來不一樣;"chase"不但是動詞,也是名詞,如: (16)The cat chased the mouse and caught it soon after. (17)The puplis followed the teacher to the classroom. (18)There was a thrilling car chase in the film. (19) Social unrest follows widespread unemployment. (20) I could not follow what he was saying.
兩句中各有一個錯誤,即:“Its”和“Beside”;應該是“ Its”和“Besides”才對。“Its”是“it is”的縮寫,“Its”才是所有代名詞“它的”!癇eside”是“在旁邊”,而“Besides” 才是“除此之外”。
像這樣“形似義異”的字,在英語里相當多,稍微粗心,便會混淆不清。

1. population

教學目標:
1、掌握賓語從句的語序。
2、掌握引導賓語從句的各種連詞。
3、掌握賓語從句中,主句與從句在時態上的相互呼應。
復習重點、難點:
賓語從句的語序。引導賓語從句的各種連詞。賓語從句中,主句與從句在時態上的相互呼應。
教學過程:
一、賓語從句的定義:
賓語從句顧名思義就是作(及物動詞、介詞或某些形容詞)賓語的部分是由句子來充當。因此把這樣的句子(含有從句)叫做復句。引導賓語從句的引導詞分為三類即: 表示陳述語氣用that , 表示一般疑問語氣,含有“是否,能否”的意思whether 和if 引導.表示特殊疑問語氣由特殊疑問詞導.賓語從句可做動詞賓語,介詞賓語,及某些形容詞的賓語. 例如:
1、He wrote me a letter, saying that he would pay a visit to China next week. (動賓)
2、I wonder if you could spare me a few minutes?(動賓)
3、The teacher is quite satisfied with what you have done.(介賓)
4、Mother was very pleased that her daughter had passed the exams.(形賓)
二、過好“三關”學習賓語從句:
(一)、過引導詞關
1、連詞that(在口語中that常可省略),if, whether,如:
He knows that Jim will work hard.
連接代詞who, whom, which等,如:
Do you know who (whom) they are waiting for?
連接副詞when, where, how, why等,如:
Could you tell me how we can get to the station?
2、由that引導的賓語從句,如:
I don’t know(that )Tom was late again
I am afraid (that) it would rain soon
注意1:引導賓語從句的that 常可以省略,但下列情況下不能省略。
(1)、and連接兩個或兩個以上的賓語從句,除第一個從句中的that以外,后面從句中的that不能省略。如:Everybody could see what happened and that Tom was frightened.
。2)、that引導的賓語從句作介詞賓語時,that不能省略。如:I know nothing about him except that he is from the south.
(3)、主句謂語動詞與that從句之間有插入語,that不可省略。如:We decided, considering his age, that we would not let him do the job.
注意2:若有補語,則賓語從句要放到補語之后,在賓補前用形式賓語it. 如:
He doesn’t want it to be known that he is going away.
I consider it necessary that he should do it again.
注意3: 否定轉移. 在think, believe, suppose, expect 等動詞后的賓語從句,從句中的否定往往在主句中體現 。如:
I don’t think you are right.
I don’t believe that they have finished their work.
I don’t think he cares, does he?
3、由whether 或if 引導的賓語從句:whether和if都有“是否”的意思。如:
I don’t know whether / if he will agree with me.
He asked me whether / if I have finished my homework.
注意1:在動詞不定式之前只能用whether
如: I can’t decide whether to stay.
注意2:在whether ?? or not 的固定搭配中
如:I want to know whether it’s good news or not .
注意3:在介詞后,只能用whether
如:His father is worried about whether he lose his work .
注意4:條件狀語從句不能用whether引導,如:
Please inform him of the news if he comes back before 10 o’clock.
4、由特殊疑問詞(wh?)引導(要注意用陳述語氣)
如:He asked me,“Where is Mr Wang?”
---He asked me where Mr Wang was.
。ǘ、過語序關
做賓語從句的句子不管原來是什么語序,在充當賓語從句時都要用陳述語序,即:“引導詞+主語+謂語+賓語+其他”。
如:1、Tom said. He is reading a book.
→ Tom said that he was reading a book.
2、He asks me.Are they playing a game?
→ He asks me if/whether they are playing a game.
3、Where is the hospital?He told me.
→ He told me Where the Hospital was.
注意:當who在從句中做主語時,語序本身就是“主語+謂語”順序,所以就不再變了.
如:I want to know . Who will come tomorrow?
→I want to know whowill come tomorrow.
(三)、過時態關
賓語從句的時態要受到主句時態的限制,即要和主句的時態保持一致(也有特殊情況),賓語從句的時態往往被忽視,希望能引起我們的注意。從下面三個方面去把握賓語從句的時態。
1、當主句的時態是一般現在時、一般將來時、祈使句時,從句的時態可根據句意的需要用任意一種時態。
2、當主句的時態為一般過去時賓語從句的時態要與原句相對應的'過去的時態(帶“過去”兩個字)。
3、當賓語從句敘述的是客觀事實、真理、自然現象、名言警句、諺語等,不管主句是什么時態,從句一律用一般現在時。
三、賓語從句的特殊語序問題
在“Do you think /believe/suppose----?等”結構中,賓語從句如果是由疑問詞引導的,則要用“疑問詞+ do you think/believe/suppose +正常語序?”
如:What has happened to him? Do you think?What do you think has happened to him?
四、否定轉移問題
在think, believe等動詞后面的賓語從句,如果從句的謂語動詞表示否定意義,一般要將否定詞not移到主句的謂語動詞上面去,即通過否定主句的謂語動詞來否定從句的(意義)謂語動詞。此時變反意疑問句時仍將賓語從句視為否定,反意疑問部分用肯定形式。如:
1、I don’t think he will come.
2、I don’t think he will come, will he?
3、I think he will come, won’t he?
五、賓語從句的簡化
1、當主句的謂語動詞是hope, decide, wish, agree等,其后接賓語從句,并且從句主語與主句主語一致時,可以簡化成動詞不定式結構。
如:Wei Hua hopes that she will be back soon.
Wei Hua hopes to be back soon.
2、當know, learn, remember, forget等動詞其后接賓語從句,并且從句主語與主句主語一致時,可以簡化成“疑問詞+不定式”結構。
如:I don’t know what I should say. I don’t know what to say.
3、當tell,learn,show,teach等動詞其后接賓語從句,并且從句主語與主句的間接賓語一致時,可以簡化成“疑問詞+不定式”結構。
如:Could you tell me how I can get there?(句子中的 me 和I指的是同一個人)可以改寫為:
Could you tell me how to get there?
4、動詞后的賓語從句,也可以用不定式來簡化,但主語要發生變化。
如:It seemed that the boys were going to play games.
The boys seemed to play games.
復習小結:
1、變賓語從句的四個要素:引導詞、語序、時態和標點符號
2、牢記賓語從句中的陳述句語序。
3、注意主句與從句時態的一致性(即:當主句是過去式時,從句要用過去范疇的某種時態,客觀真理或自然現象除外)。
