　　人們說，真正的北京文化是胡同(hutong)和四合院(quadrangle courtyard)文化。它們比髙樓大吸引的'海內外游客更多。現在，胡同已經成為北京文化的代表，因此對于想了解當地的歷史文化的人來說，胡同是首選。胡同是蒙古詞，意思是“水井”。在元朝，蒙古人髙度重視水，所以幾乎每一個城市社區都圍繞一口井設計。直到今天，人們仍然可以在胡同中找到枯井。每條小巷中都有故亊。在古代，它們的名宇是口口相傳的，胡同里沒有路標(signpost)。直到明、清兩代， 胡同的名字才逐漸被書寫下來。

Where there is such a lane, there is astory.In ancient times,the names of them were passed from mouth to mouth among people;there were no signposts in hutongs.It was not until the Ming and Qing Dynasties that thenames of hutongs were written down gradually.

　　“中國制造”指在中國制造的商品所附的標簽。由于中國有豐富的勞動力資源和原材料資源等優勢，中國制造的產品物美價廉，受到世界各國的歡迎。中國的制造業迅速發展，“中國制造”已經成為一個在全球廣受認可的標簽。目前中國已經成為世界制造業的中心，被稱為“世界工廠”。盡管全球大量的電子產品和鞋都是中國制造，但這些產品的設計都是在歐美國家完成的，如今越來越多的中國公司致力于開創自己的品牌。希望實現從“中國制造”到“中國設計”的轉變。

　　1.“由于中國有豐富的勞動力資源…”,可以使用owing to是“受到世界各國的歡迎”的`原因，翻譯時可以使用on account of引出理由，避免重復。

　　2.“中國的制造業迅速發展”與“‘中國制造’已經成為一個在全球廣受認識的標簽”是因果關系，為避免與前面表達原因的短語重復，可以使用短語thanks to...。

　　3.在“盡管全球大量的電子產品和鞋都是中國制造，但這些產品的設計都是在歐美國家完成的”中，“電子產品和鞋”是“制造”的受動者，“設計”是“完成”的受動者，故使用被動語態來翻譯。

　　4.最后一句中“希望實現從‘中國制造’到‘中國設計’的轉變”可使用現在分詞作狀語，譯作hoping to betransformed from “Made in China” into “Designed in China”。“實現”一詞可省略，把漢語原文中的名詞“轉變”譯作動詞transform，這樣處理句子更簡潔。
