有why的定語從句

　　1.先行詞表示時間、地點、原因，但關系詞指代先行詞在定語從句中充當主語或賓語時，應用關系代詞that或which.如：

　　I’ll never forget 1976 that / which was full of sadness.

　　我不會忘記充滿悲哀的'1976年。

　　I regret the days （that/which） I wasted in the woods.

　　2. 關系副詞有時相當于 “適當的介詞+關系代詞”。如：

　　This is the room where / in which he lives.

　　這就是他住的房間。

　　I can see the desk where / on which there is a book.

　　我能看見上面有一本書的那張桌子。

　�、� when= on/in/at which

　　I still remember the year when/ in which I joined the Party. 我仍然記得入黨的那一年。

　　I still remember the day when/on which I joined the Party. 我仍然記得入黨的那一天。

　　I still remember the date when/at which I joined the Party. 我仍然記得入黨的那個日子。

　�、� why=for which

　　This is the reason why / for which he was killed.

　　這是他被殺害的原因。

　　3. 當先行詞為time表示 “次數”時，常用關系詞that或省去關系詞，而不用when來引導定語從句。如：

　　This is the first/last time that I shall give you a lesson.

　　這是我第一次/最后一次給你們上課。

　　4. 當point，situation等詞作先行詞表抽象的地點，其后常由where引導定語從句，where在定語從句中作地點狀語。

　　Can you think out a situation where this word can be used？ 你能設想這個單詞被使用的場合嗎？

　　Her illness has developed to the point where nobody can cure her. 她的病發展到沒人能治的地步。[1][2]
