限制性定語從句as
近幾年高考試卷中有關as一詞的題目出現過很多次，其中as或是最佳選項，或是干擾項，或是題干中的關鍵信息點，涉及到as作為連詞、介詞、關系代詞、副詞以及習語等各種用法。as的用法有哪些呢?本文是小編整理as的用法的資料，僅供參考。
限制性定語從句as 1
as的用法
(一)、as作連詞的用法:
1.作“在…期間，當…的時候”引導時間狀語從句.注意與when、 while的用法區別。
①下列情形時,只用as, 而不用when或while。
1)用于表示同一個人的兩種動作交替進行,指一邊----一邊. 如:
The girl sings as she goes to school.
He looked behind occasionally as he went forward in the forest.
2)表示兩個同步發生的動作或行為,意思是隨著…的發展.如:
As time went on / by, she became more and more beautiful.
As children get older, they become more and more interested in everything.
3)表示兩個短暫行為或事情幾乎同時發生.如:I watched her as she read the book. I thought of it just as you opened your mouth.
Just as the flying worm hit her face, she gave a loud cry.
4)接名詞表示某一個年齡段時.如:
As a young man, he was active in sports.
As a little boy (When he was a little boy) he began to learn to play the piano.
②when作"當的時候"解,可以指較短的(一點)時間,也可指一段時間。
如:When I was at college, I could speak several foreign languages.
When the clock struck twelve, I had slept for 2 hours.
I was wandering through the street when I caught sight of a tailor’s shop有意料之外的意思
③ while常表示一段較長的時間或一個過程,強調主句謂語動詞與從句謂語動詞同時
如:Work while you work. Play while you play.
Strike while the iron is hot趁著
2. As =Since 作"既然"、"由于"解,常用來表示已為人們所知或顯而易見的原因或理由。 如: As he’s been ill for ages, I will help him.
As / Since you're not feeling well, you may stay at home.
As he wasn't ready, we went without him.
3. As =in the way that作"像"、"按照的方式"解,引導方式狀語從句。如: Do as I told you. Remember, you must do everything as I do. Take the medicine asdirected. Maglev trains don’t make much noise, as planes do. When at Rome，do asRomans do.入鄉隨俗 As in your country，we grow wheat in the north and rice in the South.
4. 用于as--- as或not / so/ as ---- as中,前一個as是副詞,后一個as是連詞,引導比較狀語從句。如:They helped the old as much as possible.
I don't speak English so/ as well as she does.
5. 表示雖然,盡管 等,引導讓步狀語從句,常用倒裝語序,模式為: adj. /adv. / n.+as+主語+謂語+主句。如: Tired as they were, they walked on. Child as he is ，he knows a lot.Fast as he ran，he didn't catch the bus.Much as I respect him, I won’t do as suggests. Try as you may, you might fail again Try as he might，Tom could not get out of the difficulties.
6. 表示也------一樣。 She is a doctor, as was her husband.
(二)、 as作關系代詞,引導定語從句,表示正如,這一點.如:
He is very careful, as we all know. As is well-known, Taiwan belongs to China.
另外,當先行詞被the same, such, so等詞修飾時,常用as來引導定語從句。如:
Such a clever girl as she can learn anything quickly.
He wished to be such a man as Lei Feng was.
I was reading the same book as he bought yesterday. This book is not such asI expect

(三)、as作介詞的用法.
1.表示好像。如:He dressed as a policeman. They got united as one man.
2.表示作為當作。如：I found a job as a guide.
3.當某人是某身份時。如：As a child , she was sent to abroad.
4.as引導的介詞短語大多用作狀語,as譯為"作為";少數情況可引起賓語補足語。如: Asa Party member, I'll take the lead in everything. (狀語) She works as a model. (狀語) She has me as one of her best friends.(引起賓語補足語)
(四)、作副詞的用法
1 表示與------等同。如：This dress is twice as expensive as that one.
2 像，如等。As before, he remained unmoved. He doesn't speak English as/so fluently as you.
(3)英語中有很多表示比較的成語。 as black as coal as blind as a bat as brave as a lion as bright as day as busy as a bee as cold as ice as easy as ABC
as fat as a pig as hot as fire as light as air /a feather as like as two peas /beans as poor as a church mouse as rich as a Jew as sound as a bell狀況極佳;十分健康 as fit as a fiddle as strong as a horse as stupid as a
donkey as sweet as honey /sugar as white as snow as red as blood as bright as a button as wise as Solomon
(五)含as的固定詞組的用法
1.As soon as I get to Beijing，I'll write to you.我一到北京，就給你寫信。
2.as/so long as作“只要”解，eg; As/So long as you study hard，you'll make progress. 比較：I've waited as long as two hours.我一直等了整整兩小時。
3.as if/though常用來引導方式狀語從句，作“好像，仿佛”解。如果從句中講的是非
真實情況，則用虛擬語氣。eg：She loves the child as if/though he were her own.
As if/though也可用來引導表語從句，常用在“It looks/seems...+as if/though”句型結構中。It looks to me as if/though it is going to clear up.It seems asif/though he knew nothing about it. You look as though you slept badly.
4.as to作“關于，至于”解。eg;There is no doubt as to his honesty.
5.as much/many as“多達…”，“達到…之多”eg：He can earn as much as 5000 dollars a month.
6.As/So far as I know，he will come here next Monday.據我所知，
比較：We might go as far as the school and back.我們可以走到學校那邊，然后回來。
7.She died as a direct result of the accident.表示“由于...的結果”。
8，as well為“也，還”之意。eg： Come early，and bring your brother as well.
9.so as to，表示目的so...as to表示結果。eg：He studied hard so as to pass the exam.他努力學習以便通過考試。(表示目的)
10.as a matter of fact實際上，事實上 As a matter of fact，I'm very fond of house work.
11.as follows如下 Our plan is as follows.
12.as for至于，說到 As for me，I shall never return there.
13.as good as幾乎已經，實際已經 Everything was as good as settled.一切都差不多安排好了. She is as good as her words.她遵守諾言。
He as good as said I'm a liar. 他無異于說我撒謊。
比較：Your composition is as good as his.你的`作文和他的作文一樣好。
另外，還有以下習慣搭配，其翻譯不能隨便從字面來理解： (as) good as gold 表現很好的 (as) good as new 完好如新 as good as one’s word 守信
as good as pie 很好的，可愛的，討人喜歡 (as) good as a play 非常有趣
14. as well as同樣，和，也，而且 She called on you as well as I.不但我來看你，她也拜訪了你。 She called on you as well as me. 她不但拜訪了我，也拜訪了你。
在下列句中，as well as表示“像一樣”的涵義：She as well as you is an English teacher. 她像你一樣也是英文教師。
George hasn’t gone abroad as well as his brother. 喬治并沒有和他兄弟一樣出國去。(他兄弟一人出國) George, as well as his brother, hasn’t gone abroad. 喬治和他兄弟都沒有出國。
1) as well as 可連接并列的單詞或短語 前后兩個動詞的時態要一致。即：若第一個動
詞是一般現在時，第二個動詞也應是一般現在時;若第一個動詞是一般過去時，第二個動詞也應是一般過去時。例如：
He publishes(published)as well as prints(printed)his own books.他的書是自己印刷并出版的。
2)如果第一個動詞是復合時態，或由can，may， must等加動詞構成時，as well as后面可省去助動詞或情態動詞，此時，as well as意為“既又”。例如：
We are repairing the roof as well as painting the walls.我們在粉刷墻壁，同時也在修理屋頂。 She can /could sing as well as dance.她既會跳舞也會唱歌。
3)如果第一個動詞是不定式，as well as后面的動詞也要用不定式，但要去掉to。例如： You can't expect her to do the housework as well as look after the children.你不可能叫她既照管孩子又做家務。
⑷注意as well as的另外兩層涵義：1)as well as還有“除之外”之意。例如： Aswell as knowing some Russian，she speaks English very well.除了懂得一點俄語之外，她的英語講得很好。
比較：He can speak English as well as she does.他和她英語講得一樣好。
15.as many /much /deep /large，ect.as達……程度，多/深/大……達 As early ashis second film，Chaplin had developed his own manner of acting. 早在他第二部電影中，卓別林就形成了自己的表演風格。 The well is as deep as eight metres.這口井深達八米。
16.as usual像平常一樣 She would go homeas usual for Christmas.
17.such as像……之類，例如 He knows a lot of poets ，such as Shelley and Byron.
18.may(might /could)as well不妨，不如 You may as well wait upstairs. you might as well throw the money into the sea as lend it to him.
19. as a rule作為一個常規,通常,習以為常?As a rule, we keep records on all the experiments so that we may have enough data.
20. As a whole作為一個整體(來看)?We should analyze the problem as a whole.
21. As above如上?It has been explained as above.?
22. as…as ever像往常一樣……She works as hard as ever.她工作一貫努力。
23. as it is (was)①在句首,“但在實際上”;②在句末,“照原來樣子”。As it was, we did help them.事實上,我們的確幫了他們。Leave the things as they are.別動這些東西。
24. as matters stand按目前情況來說 As matters stand, he does not like to make the plan public.就目前情況而論,他不愿公開那個計劃。
AS用法總結
一、用作連詞的as
1. 引導時間狀語從句，表示“當……的時候”，其用法與when和while類似。例如：Asa child (When he was a child), she was sent to six different schools.此用法中as多表示從句與主句動作同時進行，意為“一邊……一邊……”，一般不與狀態動詞連用。例如：She sang songs as she did her homework.
as 還可以表示一動作緊接著另一動作發生，說明另一動作的結果，有“隨著……”的含義。例如：As time went by, we found he was an honest man./As he grew older, he lost interest in everything except gardening.
例1 It wasn’t until nearly a month later________ I received the manager’s reply.
A. since B. when C. as D. that
解析：本題的as中與when一起作為干擾項，容易使考生往時間狀語從句上思考，事實上本題是強調句，正確選項是D。
2. 引導原因狀語從句，表示“由于，因為”，相當于because, 但通常置于句首。例如： As he is a qualified doctor, I trust his advice on medical matters.
例2 _____ modeling business is by no means easy to get into, the good model will always be in demand.
A. While B. Since C. As D. If
解析：本題中as干擾性很強，很多考生誤以為是原因狀語從句，但仔細分析不難發現正確答案應是A(while表示“只要”)。
3. 引導讓步狀語從句，通常可與although或though通用，但語序不同，although或though用于句首，as用于倒裝結構。例如：Young as I am, I already know what career I want to follow. /Although(或Though)I am young, I already know what career I want to follow. as 表示讓步用于倒裝結構，通常將從句的表語、狀語或動詞前置。如果表語有冠詞a/an, 需去掉。例如：Great scholar as he is, he is lacking in common sense./Much as I like you, I couldn’t live with you. 例3 _____ he has limited technical knowledge, the older worker has a lot of experience.
A. SinceB. Unless C. As D. Although
解析：as 雖然有引導讓步狀語從句用法，但本題不是倒裝結構，故正確答案應是D。
4. 引導方式狀語從句，表示“如，像”。例如：When in Rome, do as Romans do./Do to others as you would have others do to you.
例4 We wanted to get home before dark, but it didn’t quite ________ asplanned.
A. make outB. turn out C. go onD. come up
解析：本題考查動詞詞組辨析，題干中的“as planned”給同學們提供了重要信息，答案選B。
5. 固定句型：“主句，as +be/do+主語”表示“也一樣”。例如：She’s unusually tall, as are both her parents./He’s a doctor, as was his wife before she had children.
二、用作介詞的as
1.表示“如，像”。例如：They got united as one man./She spoke of me as her dearest friend.
2.表示“作為、當作”。例如：As a League member, you should think more of others.
3.與某些動詞搭配，表示“把……當作……”，如：look on…as…, regard…as…, treat…as…, consider…as…, think of…as…, see…as…等。其中consider…as…中的as可以省略。as與famous或known搭配，表示“作為……而出名”。
例5 Linda worked for the Minnesota Manufacturing and Mining Company, ________ as 3M.
A. knowingB. known C. being knownD. to be known
解析：如果熟悉be known as這一短語，運用有關非謂語動詞的常識，可選出正確答案B。
三、用作關系代詞的as
1. 引導限制性定語從句，先行詞前通常有as, so, such, same等修飾語。例如：He will marry as pretty a girl as he can find./My hometown is no longer the same asit used to be./As many people as are present will be given a present.在此種用法中，同學們要注意與結果狀語從句的區別。比如：A: The teacher asked us such a difficult question that none of us could answer it. B: The teacher asked us such a difficult question as none of us could answer.A句為結果狀語從句，而B句則是定語從句。
2. 引導非限制性定語從句，用來指代整個主句(即先行句)，表示“這一事實，那一情況”。從句可以位于句首、句中或句末。例如：We stand when the national anthem is played, as is the custom.
例6 ______ I explained on the telephone, your request will be considered at the next meeting.
A. When B. After C. As D. Since
解析：根據句意，選項C是正確答案。as表現的正是本點所講用法。
四、用作副詞的as
修飾形容詞或副詞，表示程度，意為“同樣地”。例如：He swims fast, but I swim just as fast. 但它通常構成表示比較的結構“asas”，“not asas”。此結構中第一個as是副詞，第二個as是連詞。否定結構中的副詞as可以由so代替。asas possible /one can也屬于此用法。例如：It is generally believed that teaching is as much an art as it is a science.
五、用在習語中的as
由as構成的習語很多，常見的有：as soon as “一就”，引導時間狀語從句;as/so long as “只要”引導條件狀語從句;as if/though “好像，仿佛”，引導方式狀語從句或表語從句;as to/ as for “至于，就而言”;as much/many as“多達”;as/so far as“就的限度”;as a result，as a result of “(由于的)結果”;as a matter of fact“事實上”;as well “也、還”;A as well as B“不但A而且B”;as it is“照現狀看，看樣子”，等等。這些習語在高考中可能經常遇到，在高考題中有的作為正確選項，有的作為干擾項，有的出現在題干，值得同學們認真掌握。例如：
例9 I would like a job which pays more, but ______ I enjoy the work I’m doing at the moment.
A. in other wordsB. on the other hand C. for one thing D. as a matter of fact 解析：選項D極具干擾意義，但進一步研讀會發現本題中的兩個分句表達了一件事的兩個對立面，故選B。
例10 ——People should stop using their cars and start using public transport. ——______. The roads are too crowded as it is.
A. All right B. Exactly C. Go aheadD. Fine
解析：本題選項中雖沒有as內容，但題干中的as it is卻是解題的關鍵信息，正確選項為B。
限制性定語從句as 2
一、相同點
兩者引導非限制性定語從句時，可指代主句中的部分或整個句子的內容，在從句中做主語，賓語或表語，位于主句之后有時可互換。
The meeting was put off, as /which was exactly what we wanted.
He was a doctor, as/which I knew from his manner.
二、不同點
1. as可以放在主句前后，也可插入主句之中；而which引導的非限制性從句只能位于主句之后。
As is known to all, fish can’t live without water.
Air, as we know, is gas.
2.在非限制性從句中，which后的be動詞不可省；as而后的be動詞可以省略。
She told me she won the match, which was a lie.
The material is elastic, as (was) shown in the figure.
3. which在非限制性定語從句做主語時可用各類動詞做謂語；而as做主語時，謂語常用系動詞，如be, seem, become等，一般不用其他行為動詞。
He saw the girl, which delighted him.
He didn’t say anything at the meeting , as/which seemed very strange.
4. as常用“正如”含義，常用的結構有as we know（眾所周知）；as often happens（正如常發生的那樣）；as is often the case（情況常常如此）; as we all can see（正如我們看到的）; be announced/expected/known/imagined/mentioned/said/shown/
reported等。這些結構常放句首，偶爾也可以放句中或句末。
As is known to all, China is a developing country.
Kate was late for school, as often happened.
5. 在非限制性定語從句中which指代主句中某一個單詞時，as不可以。
My brother enjoyed playing basketball, which he really plays well.
Beijing, which he was born in, is our capital.
6. “介詞+關系代詞（介賓代物）”中關系代詞只能用which。
The Travel Agency, with which our company has been dealing for several years, has opened for new branches.
Air is a mixture of gases, of which oxygen forms 21 percent.
7. 從句中的謂語動詞是否定形式時，常用which。
He can write a letter in English, which I can not.
Metal will bear beating with a hammer, which a stone will not
8.在非限制性定語從句關系代詞代表前面主句中的賓語從句時，常用which
He said he had passed the exam, which was untrue.
