　　千年，讀作“X thousand”:

　　1000=one thousand

　　2000=two thousand

　　百年，讀作“X hundred”：

　　1900=nineteen hundred

　　600=six hundred

　　百位是零，讀作“X thousand and Y”，可省略and:

　　2008=two thousand and eight

　　或two thousand eight

　　1054=one thousand fifty-four

　　2014=two thousand fourteen

　　百位不是零，讀作“X hundred and Y”，可省略hundred and：

　　1997=nineteen hundred and ninety-seven

　　或nineteen ninety-seven

　　1811=eighteen eleven

　　十位是零，零讀作oh：

　　1908=nineteen hundred and eight

　　1、"年份"一般分為兩個單位來讀，前兩個數(shù)為一個單位，后兩個數(shù)為一個單位。如2016讀作twenty sixteen

　　2、3位數(shù)讀法：

　　如果是三位數(shù)，先讀第一位，再把后兩個數(shù)合起來讀。如：984年可讀為nine eighty-four,757年讀成seven fifty-seven。

　　3、“千”年的讀法

　　另外，像2000年一般讀成two thousand, 2001年則讀成two thousand and one,以此類推，2004年應讀成two thousand and four。 January 12th, 1993讀成January the twelfth, nineteen ninety-three。

　　4、第3個數(shù)字為"0"的讀法

　　第三個數(shù)字為“零”（其他數(shù)字不是“零”）的年份的`讀法應當將該“零”讀為O［u］。

　　例如：1809年讀作 eighteen O nine

　　5、其他年份的讀法

　　另外，還有一些非四位數(shù)的年份，它們有兩種讀法：一種是按照基數(shù)詞的方法來讀，另一種是一個一個數(shù)字來讀。

　　例如：531BC讀作five three one BC（或five hundred and thirty-one BC）
