1引言
作為商務英語專業(yè)的核心課程,商務英語寫作教學的質量和效果已直接關系到大學生核心外語技能的培養(yǎng)(王立非等,20xx)。為提升學生的綜合素質,許多非英語專業(yè)學科也已將商務英語寫作納入其專業(yè)課程體系,其重要性在教學中日益顯著。商務寫作教學源自國際商務活動對商務溝通能力的需要,其教學的目標是使學生在商務環(huán)境中能夠用英語有效地進行商務書面溝通,完成各種商務交際活動(王美玲,20xx)。而傳統(tǒng)的“教師灌輸―學生被動接受”的英語寫作教學模式忽略了寫作是一個互動的、交際的、認知的、真實的社會過程,這無疑不能有效地指導商務溝通任務的完成。
20xx年起,教育部在大學英語課程教學要求(修訂本)中強調要以網絡技術為支撐進行多媒體教學,建立基于課堂和計算機的大學英語教學模式。到20xx年,多媒體網絡外語教學改革取得了顯著成績,計算機輔助外語教學與科研十分活躍(王立非等,20xx)。計算機網絡在外語教學中應用的其中一種形式是將電子郵件融入英語寫作教學中。本文探討運用電子郵件進行商務英語寫作的協(xié)同學習教學模式對學生商務英語寫作能力的影響以及學生對這種教學模式的態(tài)度。
2電子郵件教學在英語寫作教學中的應用
電子郵件的核心價值是用戶利用互聯(lián)網達到快速便捷地傳遞信息和溝通的目的(牟宜武等,20xx)。隨著全球商務和互聯(lián)網的發(fā)展,電子郵件已成為國際商務溝通最基本最常用的聯(lián)絡方式(Broadhead & Light,20xx)。在日常商務交流中,商務電子郵件的寫作占據著舉足輕重的地位。最近一份調查(Radicati,20xx) 顯示,20xx年企業(yè)每用戶每天發(fā)送和接收的商務電子郵件為105封,而到20xx年將高達125封(見表1)。

綜上所述,本研究融合語言學習的社會文化觀點以及情境學習理論,強調從人際互動的角度來探究基于協(xié)同學習的電子郵件教學對學生商務英語寫作能力的影響。
3 研究設計
3.1研究問題
。1)將基于協(xié)同學習的電子郵件教學融入商務英語寫作教學實踐中,對學生商務英語寫作能力有何影響? (2)學生對于基于協(xié)同學習的電子郵件教學持何種態(tài)度?
3.2研究對象
本實驗選取廣西某高校的61名二年級商務英語專業(yè)學生作為研究對象。實驗始于他們入學后的第四個學期。實驗前教學研究者用全國國際商務英語考試一級試題對所有參加實驗的學生進行測試,并最終篩選出42名成績處于同一水平的學生作為實驗對象。
3.3 研究工具
本研究包括3個研究工具。第一個是全國國際商務英語考試一級試題一份,試卷內容包括20道聽力題,40道閱讀理解題,一篇中譯英小短文以及一道商務英語寫作題,滿分100分。研究者用這份試題對61名研究對象進行測試,以確保被試的商務英語語言能力在實驗進行之前不存在顯著性差異。第二個是用于前測和后測的商務英語寫作試卷兩份。試卷難易程度與全國國際商務英語考試一級考試中的寫作部分相當,用于了解教學實驗前后學生成績的變化。第三個是調查問卷及訪談提綱各一份,用于了解學生對基于協(xié)同學習的電子郵件教學的看法。問卷共發(fā)放了21份,收回21份,其中有效卷為20份。問卷采用李克式五點量表(Likert five-point scale)的形式作答。學生根據題意,分別在“非常不同意”到“非常同意”五個等級中,評定與個人感覺符合的程度。記分方面,依序以1、2、3、4、5記分。隨后,研究者隨機抽取了10位同學進行訪談,在征得他們同意之后,研究者對訪談進行了錄音,以便隨后進行相關數據分析。
3.4 研究設計
實驗始于20xx年春季學期開始后的第二周。在實驗開始前,研究者用全國國際商務英語考試一級試題對這兩個班的學生進行了齊性檢驗以確保研究對象是兩個同質的組。實驗班30人,控制班31人。分數分布在距離平均值有1個標準差之內的范圍內的學生被納入此次研究。春季學期開始后的第三周,實驗組和控制組的`學生都參加了商務英語寫作前測。在30分鐘內學生要完成一篇不少于100詞的商務信函的寫作。從第四周開始研究者對兩個班的學生進行長達12周的教學實驗。兩個班均由研究者本人授課,每周2學時。在控制組,商務英語寫作課仍在傳統(tǒng)教室進行,并采用傳統(tǒng)的“教師命題→學生寫作→教師批閱→反饋結果”的授課方式,學生獨自完成每一次寫作任務。
此外,實驗組學生只有了解在協(xié)同學習氛圍下自己在小組內的責任分工,才能更積極地參與互動。因此,教學研究者把需要學生協(xié)同完成的任務以郵件的方式發(fā)送給實驗組的學生。這些任務包括:(1)協(xié)同規(guī)劃;(2)初稿寫作;(3) 評價;(4)定稿。通過把這些任務發(fā)送給學生,他們便能明確地知道自己在過程寫作教學法模式下每個階段需要完成的具體任務。每個寫作任務協(xié)同規(guī)劃初稿階段用兩課時,評價及定稿階段用兩課時。整個流程見圖1。

3.5數據收集與分析
本實驗收集到的數據包括所有參加試驗的學生商務英語考試一級試題的成績以及商務英語寫作前測、后測的成績以及通過調查問卷和訪談收集到的數據。研究者利用SPSS16.0 對這些數據進行了定量統(tǒng)計分析,以了解基于協(xié)同學習的電子郵件教學是否能有效提高學生的商務英語寫作能力,以及學生對基于協(xié)同學習的電子郵件教學的態(tài)度。 4 結果與討論
本研究結果表明,經過12周的教學實驗,相對于傳統(tǒng)課堂中的獨立寫作,寫完直接交由教師批改,再發(fā)回修改的垂直過程,使用電子郵件進行商務英語寫作的協(xié)同學習的教學模式的學生在學習成效上有更好的表現。這主要是因為,傳統(tǒng)的商務英語寫作教學通常只看重寫作結果,寫作本身只是交給教師批改的作業(yè),這種教學模式忽略了寫作是一個互動的、交際的、認知的社會過程,脫離真實的交際需求, 缺乏真實的讀者和真實的任務激勵學生積極參與互動,學生的寫作欲望和寫作動力也就得不到激發(fā)。而使用電子郵件進行協(xié)同學習的過程中,學生參與小組活動,從最初的小組成員交流意見,產生想法到作文互評,再到最終定稿,這種小組互動和協(xié)同學習使學生取代了教師成為教學活動的主體,他們在小組中就商務寫作任務進行溝通,共同推進討論并協(xié)同完成文章的寫作,此外多人同時對文章進行評改不僅有助于形成良好的協(xié)作學習氛圍,而且可以提高寫作的效率和質量。學生之間通過電子郵件建立非實時互動關系,這種互動環(huán)境的構建有助于彌補課堂互動不足的缺陷,同時與其他同學的作文互評培養(yǎng)了自己在寫作中的讀者意識,及時吸取他人的優(yōu)點(朱銘,20xx)。這種互評同時也是一種真實讀者的溝通,寫作從而成為一種為真實讀者而寫的活動,這種溝通給學生提供了真實的商務交際環(huán)境,滿足了學生使用英語進行真實交際的學習需求,進而刺激了他們的寫作欲望。與此同時,在這個過程中教師通過接收小組成員互評的評價稿副本(CC) ,可以對學生整個寫作過程進行監(jiān)管。對學生的評分不僅要看最終作品,同時也要看學生的寫作過程以及他們如何遵從指令(Roberts,20xx)。而學生用電子郵件將他們的作品發(fā)送給老師,這無疑會提高其學習英語的積極性(王慧莉等,20xx)。
其次,從問卷調查和隨機訪談的結果可知,使用電子郵件進行寫作的協(xié)同學習過程中,同伴之間的討論和作文互評增加了學生自我反省的機會,對學生英語寫作動機有正面影響。此結果與國內外很多研究發(fā)現是一致的,例如因為同伴互評討論交流的過程使學生由被動接受知識轉變?yōu)橹鲃訉W習,因而增加了學生自主學習(如郭映紅,20xx;Miao et al.,20xx)以及自我反省的能力,提高了學生溝通和批判思維(Mendon a & Johnson,1994)。而在寫作過程中培養(yǎng)學生自我反省與批判能力作為一種高階思維運作至關重要,正如Vygotsky強調,外語的學習能激發(fā)高階思維的發(fā)展,但學習不等于發(fā)展,唯有轉化高階思維的學習活動,才能真正讓發(fā)展成為可能(Vygotsky,1981)。
再次,學生普遍認為電子郵件溝通縮短了教師與學生的距離,是師生之間溝通的有效通道。這種通過電子郵件創(chuàng)造的“接觸地帶”可以促進師生之間形成一種積極的、生產性的關系(Doherty & Mayer,20xx),而這樣的師生關系又可以促進學生對學習的投入(Doddington, Flutter & Rudduck,1999) ,從而提高學習效果。電子郵件的運用使教師與學生之間的交流延伸到課堂之外,師生間通過電子郵件建立的非實時互動關系可使其隨時進行溝通互動,便于建立融洽的師生關系,這種及時交流不僅有序地構建了學生的寫作能力,而且為學生提供了真實的實踐任務,使他們在使用中不斷發(fā)現問題、解決問題、提高英語語用能力(李淑靜,20xx)。
5結語
基于協(xié)同學習的電子郵件教學融入商務英語寫作教學中是一種可行且有效的模式。利用電子郵件進行寫作的協(xié)同學習過程能夠有效地把培養(yǎng)學生的寫作能力延伸到課堂之外,從而營造一個超越課堂教學時空的學習真實情境,這在一定程度上有助于提高學生的英語寫作能力。該教學模式在商務英語寫作教學中具有廣泛的應用前景。

常見的商務英語電子郵件包括以下五部分:
①寫信人email地址、收信人email地址、抄送收信人email地址、密送收信人email地址。②標題。③稱呼、開頭、正文、結尾句。④禮貌結束語。⑤寫信人全名、寫信人職務及所屬部門、地址、電話號碼、傳真等。
其中郵件主題應體現郵件主旨,要引人注目、意思明確,最好為名詞或動名詞短語;稱呼禮貌得體,符合商務英語寫作習慣,如不知對方姓名只知頭銜,可用 dear+title作為稱呼,如只知對方姓名不知性別,可用dear+全名,如郵件為一封通函,則用dearall作為郵件稱呼;正文應結構清楚,便于閱讀,如正文內容較長,可使用小標題、小段落,或利用星號、下劃線及段落間空行等方式使郵件眉目清楚、一目了然。
二、商務英語電子郵件寫作應遵循的五c原則
商務英語電子郵件的正文寫作應該遵循五c原則,即correctness、conciseness、complete、clarity和courtesy原則。
準確原則
由于商務英語電子郵件涉及的是商務活動雙方的權利、義務關系,其準確性對商務治理與溝通至關重要。具體而言,不僅電子郵件的英語語法、標點符號和拼寫要做到準確無誤,電子郵件內容還要敘述準確,以免引起誤會糾紛。
簡潔原則
簡潔原則是商務英語寫作最重要的原則,指在不影響完整性和禮貌性的前提下,盡量使用簡單句子和簡短詞語。一封拖沓冗長、措詞復雜的電子郵件既浪費寫的時間,也會給閱讀者帶來不必要的麻煩,故商務英語電子郵件應以簡明扼要為第一要務。
在具體寫作中,商務英語電子郵件呈現出的句法特征是句子結構簡單明了,有大量省略句和不完整句。其詞匯特征是用語簡潔,語言簡明扼要。
另外,為了節(jié)約時間和空間,電子郵件中可使用縮略語,如u表示you,pls表示please,info表示information,qty表示quantity,p“c表示piece,l“c表示letterofcredit,fob表示freeonboard。

完整原則
商務電子郵件內容應力求具體、明確、完整,提供讀者所需要的信息,尤其像盤、詢問貿易條件等需要回函的電子郵件,更需要清楚完整,因為只有包含具體信息的郵件,才能達到良好的溝通效果。郵件是否完整,可以用5w1h來檢驗,即who,when,where,what,why和how。
清楚原則
商務英語電子郵件的寫作要做到層次清楚,用詞準確。具體表現在:
例1 we will deliver your goods soon.
例2 中significant一詞意為明顯的、不小的,語義模糊,故可以用具體數字替換。例2中soon表示不久、很快,語義不明確,沒有指出具體的供貨時間,可改為具體的年月日。
禮貌原則
商務英語電子郵件應遵循措詞婉轉、禮貌的原則。鑒于電子郵件直接影響到整個交易的成敗,買賣雙方應十分注重措辭方式,要婉轉、禮貌,使對方輕易接受。在寫作電子郵件時,可以通過使用虛擬語氣、委婉語氣等方法迂回地表達觀點,提出要求。
例1 if it is not for the larger orders we receive from a numbero four regular customers,we could not have quoted for supplies even at that price.

Hi! It’s Li Ming here again.
Glad to learn you’re coming to Beijing in a couple of days. My family and I are looking forward to your visit and we are so glad you can stay with us while you are in Beijing. We have got everything ready for you so as to make you feel at home.
On the day you arrive, my father and I will meet you at the airport and in the evening we will have a nice dinner party at home, I’m sure you will like all the delicious Chinese food.
During the following days, I will show you around many places of interest in Beijing, including the Great Wall, which is regarded as one of the Seven Wonders of the World. We will spend some time touring around downtown Beijing, such as Wangfujing, Xidan and Qianmen, where you can do some shopping if you like. Of course, as it is the largest one in the world, Tian’ anmen Square is a scenic spot we can’t miss. Another exciting moment we will share is going to the 20xx New Year Concert given by China National Traditional Orchestra, which is held at famous Vienna Golden Hall, Austria during the Chinese Spring Festival every year.
The spring festival, like the carnivals in western countries, is a special joyous/joyful occasion of celebration for Chinese as well as other many Asians. If you can stay in Beijing long enough, you will be able to share the pleasure of it with us.
