1. live apart 分開(kāi)住
e.g. The butterfly and the milkweed , although competitors in a way , cannot live apart .
蝴蝶和馬利筋，雖然從某種角度來(lái)看是競(jìng)爭(zhēng)對(duì)手，卻又不能分開(kāi)獨(dú)立存活。
2. apart from除了
apart from有兩種含義:
=besides 除...之外
e. g. Apart from sport, my other interest is music. 除了運(yùn)動(dòng),我的另一個(gè)興趣是聽(tīng)音樂(lè).
=except for 如果沒(méi)有
e.g. Apart from that, all goes well. 除了那一點(diǎn),一切都正常
3. make/offer an apology to sb for sth. 因某事向某人認(rèn)錯(cuò)或道歉
4. argue with sb. about sth. 與某人爭(zhēng)論某事
e.g. Dont argue with me about it , my decision is final .
不要與我爭(zhēng)論，我的`決定是最后的了。
5. lay sth. aside放在一邊
e.g. Lay aside bad habits .
請(qǐng)丟掉壞習(xí)慣。
e.g. I want you to lay aside these useless prejudices .
我希望你丟開(kāi)這些無(wú)益的偏見(jiàn)。
6. ask sb. for advice / help 請(qǐng)某人指點(diǎn)/幫助
7. be astonished at sth 驚訝于.
e.g. She is astonished at the news.
她聽(tīng)到消息很震驚。
