　　Nancy：Yeh! What daya do?

　　Victor：What do you do? 就是我們在問別人職業的時候常說的一句話。

　　Nancy：Now listen to my pronunciation. What daya what daya what daya do?

　　Victor：What daya do?

　　Nancy：Good! This is the way we ask someone about their job. “What daya do?”, it’s short for “what do you do for a living?”, but we don’t say “for a living” anymore.

　　Victor：Great! 我喜歡現在的英語，越說越“短”啦！Nancy, what daya do? 對了，你掙多少錢呢？

　　Nancy：It’s always okay to ask someone about their job, it shows you’re interested in them. But you never, ever ask someone how much money they make.
