"Mother, does the wind have a clear eye?" I asked my mother when I was a child.

"There are children, the wind will see you grow up, will give you the information coming from the mother, no matter where you are, I know your situation, because the wind's eyes to everything you told me," Mom heloma hand over my head.

Yes, the wind in the trees at the station always love, and like a mother, that is, loudly shouting my name, it was late, told me to go home. Sometimes, playing with children is just the rise, which is not heard or heard. The wind will whistle around the ear with the mother's voice. As the footprint keeps catching up, it will rush me to go home.

Don't guess, whether I'm in the hillside cattle in the river or ponds or bathing, the vegetable to steal another cucumber like, mother always through the wind to know where her son perception. I walk far, in the magnetic field of my mother's love. All my life can give me such a feeling, only my mother.

Wind, always changing their temperature and taste with the change of the season, change their color. Just after the winter, the wind is hurried away cold, with the warmth of spring information blowing through the hills, grass and woods I will spit out the green hills, slowly, wild flowers, pear, peach blossom also domesticated, full of vitality. At this time the wind, like a gorgeous girl, wearing the color clothes, bright red blossoms and green willows, quiet and tranquil, with the fragrance of the flowers, but drunk in their own style. My childhood, seems to have unlimited power, always love to see the mountains green flowers, spring breeze soaked heart, like spring grass, grow up quickly. The mother knew her son's mind, from time to time to pick the grass field to go home, let the house is full of grass fresh breath, infiltration of my young heart.

In the summer, the heat in the wind was inflated rapidly, and a burning sensation on the face, rippling and rippling. With a bit of mystery and pride, the mind in the face, and pretending to be calm, the people of rice mature information to the village, they quickly rush in the harvest at the same time to harvest, planting. In the field work day and night hot can not sleep, a person with straw series fan, palm Qingnie fan handle, violently shaking. The mother was asleep, the fan in his hand was still shaking gently, fixed on my body, and fanning the coolness on me.

The autumn wind heat slowly reduced, crop fields gradually mature, the rice into the warehouse, the sweet potato bulging, less tired mother and flustered. When light still, mother took a dim dim kerosene lamp on the table, the whole family, old and young around the table every mouthful taste, rice and vegetables are full of warm and fragrant. In the flickering flames, mother skillfully in the pot washing the dishes, I dare not half a step away from the mother, for fear of the night on a hand or body of the ghost, I will catch, can not go back to the mother.

The seasons in the wind, the most natural number is also the winter, winter cold, biting north wind to blow too timid. The mother got up early rice in cold water washing, the sun climbed to the top of the mountain, the sun brings warmth melts the ice, the mother will call my name, hiding in bed I slowly will head out, should be a mother, mother wore hand sewn fabric thick cotton padded jacket. In addition to face frozen red, body heat is not worse than in summer, because the jacket is woven with motherly love, cold fear it, hide away.

The wind in the mountain is filled with the mother's care and warmth to his son. In some sense, it is a high flag of mother's love.

I came to the city from the wind in the mountains, to leave the hometown 19 years of living in the city, always feel the wind a little strange feeling and taste, less fresh and natural and pure mountain wind, and stuffy and unnerving, can not find the criteria for life, less rational, but not out begging. The rain beat free wilderness.

Mother always unwilling to live in the city with me, always wanted to stay in the village, although nearly seventy years, still in the wind with rain in the kitchen busy work room. And the wind is also busy to keep my mother from me to keep the innocent information of the children in the mountain. I am afraid that I will lose my way and set up a benchmark in my heart.

The true story behind a well-known piece of art:

Back in the fifteenth century, in a tiny village near Nuremberg, lived a family with eighteen children. Eighteen! In order merely to keep food on the table for this mob, the father and head of the household, a goldsmith by profession, worked almost eighteen hours a day at his trade and any other paying chore he could find in the neighborhood. Despite their seemingly hopeless condition, two of Albrecht Durer the Elder's children had a dream. They both wanted to pursue their talent for art, but they knew full well that their father would never be financially able to send either of them to Nuremberg to study at the Academy.

After many long discussions at night in their crowded bed, the two boys finally worked out a pact. They would toss a coin. The loser would go down into the nearby mines and, with his earnings, support his brother while he attended the academy. Then, when that brother who won the toss completed his studies, in four years, he would support the other brother at the academy, either with sales of his artwork or, if necessary, also by laboring the mines.

They tossed a coin on a Sunday morning after church. Albrecht Durer won the toss and went off to Nuremberg. Albert went down into the dangerous mines and, for the next four years, financed his brother, whose work at the academy was almost an immediate sensation. Albrecht's etchings, his woodcuts, and his oils were far better than those of most of his professors, and by the time he graduated, he was beginning to earn considerable fees for his commissioned works.

When the young artist returned to his village, the Durer family held a festive dinner on their lawn to celebrate Albrecht's triumphant homecoming. After a long and memorable meal, punctuated with music and laughter, Albrecht rose from his honored position at the head of the table to drink a toast to his beloved brother for the years of sacrifice that had enabled Albrecht to fulfill his ambition. His closing words were, "And now, Albert, blessed brother of mine, now it is your turn. Now you can go to Nuremberg to pursue your dream, and I will take care of you."

All heads turned in eager expectation to the far end of the table where Albert sat, tears streaming down his pale face, shaking his lowered head from side to side while he sobbed and repeated, over and over, "No ...no ...no ...no."

Finally, Albert rose and wiped the tears from his cheeks. He glanced down the long table at the faces he loved, and then, holding his hands close to his right cheek, he said softly, "No, brother. I cannot go to Nuremberg. It is too late for me. Look... look what four years in the mines has done to my hands! The bones in every finger have been smashed at least once, and lately I have been suffering from arthritis so badly in my right hand that I cannot even hold a glass to return your toast, much less make delicate lines on parchment or canvas with a pen or a brush. No, brother ... for me it is too late."

More than 450 years have passed. By now, Albrecht Durer's hundreds of masterful portraits, pen and silver-point sketches, watercolors, charcoals, woodcuts, and copper engravings hang in every great museum, but the odds are great that you, like most people, are familiar with only one of Albrecht Durer's works. More than merely being familiar with it, you very well may have a reproduction hanging in your home or office.

One day, to pay homage to Albert for all that he had sacrificed, Albrecht Durer painstakingly drew his brother's abused hands with palms together and thin fingers stretched skyward. He called his powerful drawing simply "Hands," but the entire world almost immediately opened their hearts to his great masterpiece and renamed his tribute of love "The Praying Hands."

The next time you see a copy of that touching creation, take a second look. Let it be your reminder, if you still need one, that no one -no one ever makes it alone!

Looking into the sunset I can 8217;t help but notice

that despite her beauty,a sense of struggle and hopeless surround the sky .

Deep inside you realize that this day is gone, and everything that It had brought is lost forever.

  Every thought,every action,every dream,every hope,every sight,every sound is gone.

There is no chance of every being returned the same, exactly the same.

For every moment has a limit to what it can capture,Every memory has a limit to what it had retrieve.

And the colours in the sky try to entertain us.

one last act with painted smiles, for they too know that nothing can be done to save the day.

So futile their attempt to comfort our fear of the night.

our horror as we try to find our way, like children who wanderinto a forest and never return.

I am ingratiatedby the sunset because of

her sensitivity as she tries to push the darkness

back for just a moment more.

But like so many times before to no avail!

It was a sunny Sunday when I was alone at home chatting with my friends on line. My room was a mess cause I seldom cleaned it up since my wife left me. I had nothing eatable or drinkable at home, so I decided to go out to buy some stuff for myself! God was not with me, cause I had only 50 Yuan in my pocket!

It so happened that the girl I was talking to on line lives just next to a Carrefour store in Tiexi District, and she said she could help me if I had no sufficient money. I did not take her words seriously but I thought it was not bad to have a girl accompany me while shopping. I needed someone to talk with anyway!

So I drove all the way from Dadong District to the store. She asked me to wait for her in front of an optic shop. I was so curious to see what this girl looked like until I saw a girl coming to me. She was all in black, with a pair of sunglasses on her forehead. She has big eyes and pretty long eyelashes! And she is quite a tall girl!

It was like a blind date, though we had been talking to each other on line for moths. We talked about anything we were interested in while shopping. I told her I wanted to buy a bottle a shampoo, so she recommended one brand called Liushen to me. Frankly, I never like the smell of it! It smells so awful that it still lies in my bathroom now!

When talked about love and marriage, she said she would never let her man suffer from anything. I looked at her, as if I had never seen her before. The confidence she had was different from the others’. This girl is special, I thought when I was on my way home!

I was a heart-broken man, so I did not dare to get myself involved into any mess related to love for the moment. That sunny girl should deserve someone must better than me. I know I would be her helpful big brother, giving her all kinds of help I can.

I, hereby, wanna give all my best wishes to her!

  Repeat after me: “I promise…”

“I will accept everything I am, and everything I am not.”

Self-worth comes from one thing: thinking that you are worthy. So be confident. Too many days are wasted comparing ourselves to others and wishing to be something we aren’t. Everybody has their own strengths and weaknesses, and it is only when you accept everything you are, and aren’t, that you will truly find happiness and success.

“I will appreciate others for who they are.”

Sometimes the way you think about a person isn’t the way they are. On the outside, maybe they laugh, and maybe they cry; but you would be surprised at everything they keep deep inside. So pay close attention, and love the people you care about for who they are, and not for who you want them to be. In the long run, this is how you will get the best of them.

“I will speak kindly and consciously to others.”

Open your mind before you open your mouth. Don’t mix bad words with a bad mood. Just be calm and deal with your emotions. You’ll have many opportunities to change your mood, but you’ll have an extremely tough time recovering the words you have spoken.

“I will stop trying to control everything.”

You can’t control everything in your life no matter how many safeguards you put into place. But thankfully, you don’t have to control everything to find peace and happiness. It lives with you always, deep within. More than getting into the nuances of control itself, you should be more interested in encouraging yourself to commit to giving it up, on purpose. See what happens when you loosen your grip, throw your hands into the air, and allow life to just happen and flow as it does, without constant micromanagement.

“I will appreciate the beauty of small moments.”

Positive minds live positive lives. There is always, always something to be thankful for and something to smile about. The happiest people are not those who get everything they want; they are those who, while in pursuit of worthy goals, notice and appreciate the beauty and sweetness of everyday moments.

“I will do what I think is right.”

What comes easy won’t always last, and what will last won’t always come easy. So do the right things, not the easy things. Whatever comes your way, whatever battle is raging inside you, you always have a choice. In the end, it’s the choices you make that make you who you are. And no matter what, you can always choose to do the right thing.

“I will grow from my challenges.”

You can be stunned, awakened, and changed by what happens to you, but choose to grow from it, and refuse to be reduced by it. Repeat after me: “I am determined to live a happy life no matter my challenges. I will turn all my tales of fury into tales of glory. I will turn all of my tales of woe into tales of WOW!”

“I will realize and use my power.”

The most common way people give up their power is by thinking they don’t have any. In a world filled with doubt, you must dare to dream. In a world filled with anger, you must dare to forgive. In a world filled with hate, you must dare to love. In a world filled with distrust, you must dare to believe. And once you do, you will find that power you once thought you lacked.

“I will follow the path my heart longs to take.”

Life is too short to live with regrets. So love the things that make you smile, let go of the things that make you cry, and believe that everything happens for a reason. Follow the path that your heart longs to take; it’s your time to shine. If you get a chance, take it. If it changes your life, let it. You are far from what you once were, but not yet who you are going to be.

Time is running out for my friend. While we are sitting at lunch she casually mentions she and her husband are thinking of starting a family. "We're taking a survey,"she says, half-joking. "Do you think I should have a baby?"

"It will change your life," I say, carefully keeping my tone neutral2. "I know,"she says, "no more sleeping in on weekends, no more spontaneous3 holidays..."

But that's not what I mean at all. I look at my friend, trying to decide what to tell her. I want her to know what she will never learn in childbirth classes. I want to tell her that the physical wounds of child bearing will heal, but becoming a mother will leave her with an emotional4 wound so raw5 that she will be vulnerable6 forever.

I consider warning her that she will never again read a newspaper without thinking: "What if that had been MY child?" That every plane crash, every house fire will haunt her. That when she sees pictures of starving children, she will wonder if anything could be worse than watching your child die. I look at her carefully manicured7 nails and stylish suit and think that no matter how sophisticated8 she is, becoming a mother will reduce her to the primitive9 level of a bear protecting her cub10.

I feel I should warn her that no matter how many years she has invested in her career, she will be professionally derailed11 by motherhood. She might arrange for child care, but one day she will be going into an important business meeting, and she will think her baby's sweet smell. She will have to use every ounce of discipline12 to keep from running home, just to make sure her child is all right.

I want my friend to know that every decision will no longer be routine. That a five-year-old boy's desire to go to the men's room rather than the women's at a restaurant will become a major dilemma. The issues of independence and gender identity will be weighed against the prospect that a child molester13 may be lurking14 in the lavatory15. However decisive she may be at the office, she will second-guess16 herself constantly17 as a mother.

Looking at my attractive friend, I want to assure her that eventually18 she will shed the added weight19 of pregnancy20, but she will never feel the same about herself. That her own life, now so important, will be of less value to her once she has a child. She would give it up in a moment to save her offspring21, but will also begin to hope for more years—not to accomplish her own dreams—but to watch her children accomplish theirs.

I want to describe to my friend the exhilaration22 of seeing your child learn to hit a ball. I want to capture23 for her the belly laugh24 of a baby who is touching the soft fur of a dog for the first time. I want her to taste the joy that is so real it hurts.

My friend's look makes me realize that tears have formed in my eyes. "You'll never regret it," I say finally. Then, squeezing25 my friend's hand, I offer a prayer for her and me and all of the mere mortal women who stumble26 their way into this holiest of callings.

  How High Can You Jump?

Flea trainers have observed a predictable and strange habit of fleas while training them. Fleas are trained by putting them in a cardboard box with a top on it. The fleas will jump up and hit the top of the cardboard box over and over and over again.

As you watch them jump and hit the lid, something very interesting becomes obvious. The fleas continue to jump, but they are no longer jumping high enough to hit the top. Apparently, Excedrin headache 1738 forces them to limit the height of their jump.

When you take off the lid, the fleas continue to jump, but they will not jump out of the box. They won't jump out because they can't jump out. Why? The reason is simple. They have conditioned themselves to jump just so high.

Once they have conditioned themselves to jump just so high, that's all they can do!

Many times, people do the same thing. They restrict themselves and never reach their potential. Just like the fleas, they fail to jump higher, thinking they are doing all they can do.

Cinema goers in the UK are licking their lips in anticipation of the films to be released in time for the Christmas holidays. And this year it looks like they will be spoiled for choice as fantasy films continue to dominate the Christmas market.

The latest Harry Potter adventure, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, has already become the most successful film in UK cinema history, earning over £14 million (130 million RMB) in the first three days of its release. Fans of the franchise have been flocking to cinemas all over the country to watch Harry's progress.

But if Harry thinks he's going to have it all his own way this year, he may be in for a surprise. That's because a new blockbuster saga is on its way to UK cinema screens.

Based on the classic novels of CS Lewis, The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe poses a threat to the dominance of the Harry Potter films. The film follows the adventures of three children who discover a gateway to the magical world of Narnia. Once they have entered Narnia they become involved in a war between good and evil.

The producers of the Narnia films will be hoping to emulate the success of the Lord of the Rings films which topped the Christmas box office between 20xx and 20xx. Since the Narnia novels have sold more than 65 million copies worldwide, it seems likely that the films will also be a runaway success.

However, there is one other fictional heavyweight who could challenge Harry Potter's hold over the Christmas audience. King Kong roars his way back onto the silver screen on 14th December. Directed by Lord of the Rings director, Peter Jackson, this film is a big-budget remake of the 1933 classic. The giant ape has been recreated digitally and is more life-like and terrifying than ever.

So whether you are a fan of monster monkeys, schoolboy wizards or enchanted worlds, it looks like this Christmas will be a great time for going to the movies.

There be none of the affections, which have been noted to fascinate or bewitch, but love and envy. They both have vehement wishes; they frame themselves readily into imaginations and suggestions; and they come easily into the eye, especially upon the present of the objects; which are the points that conduce to fascination, if any such thing there be. We see likewise, the Scripture calleth envy an evil eye; and the astrologers, call the evil influences of the stars, evil aspects; so that still there seemeth to be acknowledged, in the act of envy, an ejaculation or irradiation of the eye.Nay, some have been so curious, as to note, that the times when the stroke or percussion of an envious eye doth most hurt, are when the party envied is beheld in glory or triumph; for that sets an edge upon envy: and besides, at such times the spirits of the person envied, do come forth most into the outward parts, and so meet the blow.

But leaving these curiosities (though not unworthy to be thought on, in fit place), we will handle, what persons are apt to envy others; what persons are most subject to be envied themselves; and what is the difference between public and private envy.

A man that hath no virtue in himself, ever envieth virtue in others. For men's minds, will either feed upon their own good, or upon others' evil; and who wanteth the one, will prey upon the other; and whoso is out of hope, to attain to another's virtue, will seek to come at even hand, by depressing another's fortune.

A man that is busy, and inquisitive, is commonly envious. For to know much of other men's matters, cannot be because all that ado may concern his own estate; therefore it must needs be, that he taketh a kind of play-pleasure, in looking upon the fortunes of others. Neither can he, that mindeth but his own business, find much matter for envy. For envy is a gadding passion, and walketh the streets, and doth not keep home: Non est curiosus, quin idem sit malevolus.

Men of noble birth, are noted to be envious towards new men, when they rise. For the distance is altered, and it is like a deceit of the eye, that when others come on, they think themselves, go back.

We’re like the cream. When the cream rises to the top, it separates itself from the milk. Perhaps that is what the New Age Movement is really all about. We find ourselves lonely at the top. Yes, it is.

It is no different with political enlightenment, spiritual enlightenment, or even becoming enlightened about relating to each other. The more mentally healthy you become, the more spiritual, the more balanced, the wealthier, the more global you become… the more alone you may feel.

Often, we find ourselves unable to find those other rare individuals who are choosing the same path as ours. The path of sloppy and lazy is full of other people to meet and talk to. The path of whiners is full. The path of being safe, generic, and boring is so crowded you almost cannot even move forward. Isn’t that why you left that path? You had a need to move forward, a need for some elbowroom, a need to spread your arms wide, a need to be seen as special, unique, different. The masses may admire you, but they are not going to be able to really relate to you. You will be alone much of the time.

Do not be afraid of the loneliness of enlightenment. Do not force others to agree with you. Simply give your heart and know that you are growing and that they are free to grow or not. It is the nature of the game. We are all free to choose our paths.
