秋日夕陽英語短篇美文

　　Autumn Sunset

　　The sun sets on some retired meadow, where no house is visible, with all the glory and splendor that it lavishes on cities, and, perchance, as it has never set before, ----where there is but a solitary marsh-hawk to have his wings glided by it, or only a musquash looks out from his cabin, and there is some little black-veined brook in the midst of the marsh, just beginning to meander, winding slowly round a decaying stump. We walked in so pure and bright a light, gilding the withered grass and leaves, so softly and serenely bright, I thought I had never bathed in such a golden flood, without a ripple or a murmur to it. The west side of every wood and rising ground gleamed like a boundary of Elysium, the sun on our backs seemed like a gentle herdsman driving us home at evening.

　　So we saunter toward the Holy Land, till one day the sun shall shine more brightly than ever he has done, shall perchance shine into our minds and hearts, and light up our whole lives with a great awakening light, as warm and serene and golden as on a bankside in autumn.

　　秋日夕陽

　　落照沉墜在一處窈窕草地上，不見一房一舍，唯有傾瀉于城郭的好一派燦爛輝煌，或許以前夕陽從未在此墜落過，----這兒但見一只孤零零的`白尾鷂，羽翼抹上一層金光，但見一只麝鼠從小棚里往外張望，沼澤中央有條黑幕遮掩似的溪流，剛剛蜿蜒而過，緩緩流過一塊朽木。我們在這般清澈明媚的日光下漫步，枯草敗葉都染上了金色，燦爛而顯得柔和明凈，想想自己還不曾沐浴在如此金潮之中，不起漪漣不聞喃喃。每處林木的西邊和凸起的地面流光溢彩，宛如樂園的邊際，夕陽在背好似和藹的牧人晚間趕車送我們回家。

　　我們就這樣閑步走向圣地，直到有那么一天日光燁燁，前所未見，或許照耀到我們的思想感情，一道令人覺醒的光明點亮我們的全部生命，如同照在秋日岸坡上那般溫暖明凈金光燦爛。
