英語經典口語與使用指南

　　一、經典口語

　　A. 表示祝賀

　　Congratulations. 祝賀你;祝賀祝賀;恭喜恭喜。

　　Congratulations on your new job. 祝賀你有了新的.工作。

　　Congratulations on passing the exam. 祝賀你通過了考試。

　　Congratulations to you all. 祝賀你們大家。

　　B. 對祝賀的回答

　　Thank you. 謝謝。

　　二、使用指南

　　1. 表示祝賀時，用得最多的兩個詞是congratulate 和 congratulations。使用它們時應注意以下幾點：

　　(1) congratulate 是動詞，一般要以“人”作賓語，而不以“事”作賓語。若要具體表明是因為某事而祝賀某人，要用介詞 on，即說成 congratulate sb on sth。

　　(2) congratulation 是名詞，且通常用復數形式。它可以單獨使用，也可在其后接介詞短語來說明是因何事而祝賀(用on)或向誰祝賀(用to)。

　　(3) congratulate 以及 congratulations 表示祝賀時，可用于成功、獲勝、結婚、畢業以及生日等場合，但一般不用于節日致詞。

　　2. 中國人以謙虛為美德，面對祝賀時，人們往往回答說“沒什么”或“哪里，哪里”。但在用英語中，人們通常用感謝來回答祝賀。如果要想謙虛一番，可以說 I’m just very lucky (我只是很幸運而已)。

　　A: I heard you won the first place in the quiz. What marvelous news! Congratulations! 聽說你在這次知識競賽中獲得了第一名。真了不起! 祝賀你!

　　B: Thanks. I was just very lucky. 謝謝，我只是很幸運而已。

　　Dialogue Five 對話5

　　A: Who won? 誰贏了?

　　B: We did, 4-2. 我們贏了，比分是4比2。

　　A: Well done! Does that mean your team is top of the league match? 打得不錯! 這是不是意味著你們隊獲得了這次聯賽的第一名?

　　B: Yes, that’s right. 是的，正是。

　　A: Congratulations. 祝賀你們。

　　B: Thanks. 謝謝。
