　　Helen: In Real English, we look at words and phrases that you might not find in your dictionary.

　　Helen: Nobody does it better. Now then Zo, tell me are you a gambling addict?

　　Zo: A gambling addict?

　　Helen: Yes. Do you like to gamble?

　　Zo: Gamble – 賭博. Sorry, Helen. I don’t gamble very much. Why do you ask?

　　Helen: I asked because today’s word is connected to gambling.

　　Zo: What’s today’s word, Helen.

　　Helen: Today’s word is scratchcard.

　　Zo: Scratchcard?

　　Helen: Yes, scratchcard. That’s two words together. Scratch

　　Zo: Scratch. 抓，刮，

　　Helen: And card

　　Zo: Card. 卡片

　　Helen: Scratchcard.

　　Zo: 那 a scratchcard是什么意思呢, Helen.

　　Helen: Well, in Britain it’s a form of gambling. You buy a scratchcard from a newsagent or supermarket. It has a special silver outer layer which you scratch off and underneath it tells you if you have won a prize or not.

　　Zo: 哦，我明白了。A scratchcard 就是一張彩票，很多人都愿意時不時的`買一張，刮刮看，來試試自己的運氣。

　　Helen: Exactly.

　　Zo: 那如果中獎了，能得到什么呢, Helen?

　　Helen: Usually, you win money – anything from 1 to thousands of pounds

　　Insert

　　A: You look very happy today.

　　B: Yeah, I just won 50 with a scratchcard.

　　A: Lucky you!

　　Helen: So let’s recap what we’ve learned.
