怎么寫(xiě)好一篇英語(yǔ)議論文

1、Compose your essay with a clear purpose 帶著明確的意圖寫(xiě)文章
一篇議論文旨在讓讀者接受你對(duì)于這個(gè)話(huà)題的看法。以下都是些很好的話(huà)題例子：
Whether governments should or should not fund embryonic stem cell research.
Whether love is a virtue or a vice.
Why Citizen Kane is the best movie of the 20th century.
Why American citizens should be forced to vote.
2、Write your essay as though you are conducting a debate 寫(xiě)文章的時(shí)候假設(shè)你正在參加一場(chǎng)辯論賽
辯論賽里你需要向聽(tīng)眾介紹你的主題，擺出論據(jù)并且進(jìn)行總結(jié)性說(shuō)明。議論文和辯論文章的結(jié)構(gòu)是相似的。
3、Collect facts from good sources to justify your opinions 收集一些來(lái)源好的事實(shí)證明你的觀點(diǎn)。
使用合理的事實(shí)來(lái)支持你的論證。一篇寫(xiě)的好的文章是好的，而一篇議論的好的文章是難以否認(rèn)的。
除了做研究，你還可以通過(guò)調(diào)查、采訪或者進(jìn)行實(shí)驗(yàn)來(lái)獲取論證。
另外，不要只說(shuō)一個(gè)事實(shí)，可以講故事。比如：Since the death penalty has been reinstated, more than 140 inmates on death row have been released after evidence proved them innocent. Ask yourself: How would you like to be one of those 140 wrongfully-convicted inmates.
4、Discuss conflicting opinions 討論正反觀點(diǎn)
除了闡明自己的意見(jiàn)，還可以提出相反的意見(jiàn)，并論證它是不準(zhǔn)確的或是過(guò)時(shí)的。例如：
Some people argue that the death penalty acts as a deterrent to crime. Time after time, evidence has disproved this theory. The death penalty, in fact, does not act as a deterrent to crime: The South accounts for 80% of US executions and has the highest regional murder rate.
5、Tie all your ideas together in a gripping conclusion 總結(jié)好你所有的想法
之前在介紹如何寫(xiě)作一篇好文章的時(shí)候也提到過(guò)，最后的總結(jié)段落是讓讀者記住你的很重要的一部分。而在議論文，你需要總結(jié)你的意見(jiàn)，再次強(qiáng)調(diào)你的觀點(diǎn)(贊成或是反對(duì))。
