俗語說：姜是老的辣. 講的的是年長者的人生智慧和生活閱歷。當你遇到困境的時候，需要來自他人的建議，自然，年長的者人生智慧，生活經歷，思辨頭腦對于我們的指導意義更大。因為，年長者的經驗可以令我們不走或者少走彎路。有趣的例證就是：大學的愛情風花雪月，男生喜歡美麗女神，女生喜歡帥氣的男生， 但是，單純的愛情被膚淺的快樂吸引，情侶們很少考慮家庭的背景，或者是兩種的興趣志向是否相同，這時候，年長朋友的建議對于未來幸福婚姻是有很重要的影響，因為，年長朋友經歷過了才懂得大學美好愛情不等于未來和諧的婚姻，僅僅有愛是不能結婚的。再比如：年輕人求學的時候，可以選擇海外留學或者國內讀書，這時候，可能父輩們的建議和鼓勵對于我們學業成功就有極其重要的指導意義，因為，很多的年輕人都是讀書無意識，人生無意識。年長者的眼光通常很長遠，年長者的閱歷通常很豐富，因此，他們的建議是重要的。
