　　新中國成立后，中國政府一直致力于提高女性的社會(huì)地位。經(jīng)過多年的努力女性群體在社會(huì)各個(gè)領(lǐng)域產(chǎn)生了不可忽視的力量。近年來，越來越多的女性在政府部門任職，參與的.國家政務(wù)活動(dòng)也明顯增多。據(jù)最近的一份調(diào)查數(shù)據(jù)顯示，大約每3位企業(yè)中高層管理者中就有1位是女性。此外，女性在家庭決策中也扮演著越來越重要的角色。

　　1.翻譯第2句“……女性群體在社會(huì)各個(gè)領(lǐng)域產(chǎn)生了不可忽視的力量”時(shí)，先譯出主干(females have the power)，再插入其他成分。“不可忽視的”處理為后置定語，既可用定語從句that cannot be ignored，也可用不定式短語not to beignored來表達(dá)。狀語“在社會(huì)各個(gè)領(lǐng)域”譯作in every/eachfield of society，置于句末。

　　2.第3句中的“越來越多的女性……任職，參與的……活動(dòng)也明顯增多”可用并列結(jié)構(gòu)譯出a growing numberof females take office…and participate in…。但不如把后半句“參與的……”處理成前半句的結(jié)果狀語，用現(xiàn)在分詞短語participating in…來表達(dá)，使譯文更具有邏輯性。

　　3.第4句中的“最近的一份調(diào)查數(shù)據(jù)顯示”可表達(dá)為according to statistics from a recent survey，也可表達(dá)為 statistics form a recent survey showed that…。“每3位”可表達(dá)為one in three，也可表達(dá)為one out of three，還可延伸譯作one third of.

　　4.最后一句中的“越來越重要的”有多種譯法：more and more important; increasingly important;growingly important，狀語“在家庭決策中”表達(dá)為in the family decision-making，置于句末。

　　翻譯大家許淵沖先生說過：“21世紀(jì)要建設(shè)世界文化，不能僅關(guān)注一個(gè)國家的文化;但要建設(shè)世界文化，中國文化在其中發(fā)揮著舉足輕重的作用。回顧中西方文化發(fā)展歷史，在2000年前，中國文化和西方文化是并立的，西方有荷馬史詩，中國有《詩經(jīng)》、《楚辭》;在1000年前，中國有漢唐文化，西方有宗教文化，西方文化不如中國文化繁華發(fā)展;但在最近500年來，西方文化呈現(xiàn)壓倒中國文化之勢(shì);一直到21世紀(jì)中國提出”中國夢(mèng)“，中國文化逐漸復(fù)興，才又跟西方文化并起。”這段話告訴我們，要實(shí)現(xiàn)“中國夢(mèng)”就要大力復(fù)興中國文化，作為祖國的未來，我們大學(xué)生有責(zé)任有義務(wù)了解中國文化、傳承中國文化。

　　“虛”指世界或者心靈的一種狀態(tài)。大體有兩種不同的'含義：其一，指世界的本原，萬物皆由虛無中來。但古人對(duì)“虛”的這一含義又有不同理解：或認(rèn)為“虛”就是空虛烏有;或認(rèn)為“虛”指“氣”的存在狀態(tài)，因?yàn)?ldquo;氣”的存在隱微無形，故以“虛”稱之，但并非完全空無。其二，指虛靜的或沒有成見的內(nèi)心狀態(tài)。

　　Xu refers to a state of the cosmos or a state of mind. Basically, it has two different meanings. The first refers to the origin of the universe, indicating that everything originates from xu, Different ancient thinkers have different interpretations of this notion: Some take xu as being devoid of anything; others believe it is the state of existence of qi(氣). Because qi is invisible and formless, It is said to be empty, but not a vacuum totally devoid of anything. The second meaning of xu refers to a state of mind that is peaceful, not preoccupied or simply free of any preconceptions.
