Recent decades have seen the rapid development of information technology.As a result,many electric
inventions,including E-book,have found their way into our everyday life and have gained increasing
popularity among common people.
It’s no wonder that some people hold the idea that E-book will replace traditional books sooner or later
because E-book have various advantages over the traditional ones.To start with,all the E-book can be
downloaded from the Internet directly,most of which are free of charge ,while the traditional books in
bookstores are much more expensive .What’s more,E-book can be stored more easily in our
computers and are more convinient for people to carry around.Last but not the least,reading E-book
has become a fashion in our life,which is particularly appealing to our young people.
As far as I am concerned,nowadays traditional books are still the leading means of reading.
However,with further development of information technology and the popularity of computer and
Internet,E-books will surely take the place of traditional books in the near future.

Mental health is becoming an increasingly troublesome issue for undergraduates. We can easily get all
kinds of information about college students’ pressure or emotional problems on the Internet. Solving
the problem needs collaborative efforts between universities and students themselves.
On the one hand, authorities in universities play a critical role in the situation. To begin with,
schools, such as colleges or universities, can provide chances for the students to ease their
tension.What’s more, some are physically strong, but mentally weak in terms of coping with difficult
situations. Teachers may have a chance to find them in advance. Besides, specialists in this field are to
be required to make full preparation for cases in time.
On the other hand, students should try to face the reality and figure out the causes of depression so
that they can better understand it. They should also learn how to identify unhealthy behaviors or
thoughts and make changes accordingly.

三、短語與詞組的用法
1、同義替換，盡量避免過多的低級詞匯：
issue 比 problem 更正式，本例使用 issue 也是為了避免與本段第三行的 problem 重復。
2、副詞+動詞：
better understand it=understand it better，但前面的表達更自然，讀起來比較簡潔。

Is a name important? To some people, yes. They strongly believe that a name is responsible for a
person’s life. Therefore, they take all the trouble, trying various ways to search wonderful names for
themselves or their children, expecting the names would work magic for a glorious future.
To others, however, the answer is "NO". According to them, the name is a nothing but a lifeless code.
Being lifeless, a code is powerless, not to mention it is so called 'magic' of bringing a person success.
To achieve success, they say, opportunity may count, and one's own efforts definitely count, but a
name that simply function as the way of distinguishing one from another, obviously don't.
As far as I am concerned, a name is important in a sense. After all, the first thing that people learn
about a person is usually his name, and a name that sounds beautiful may give and leave people a
great first impression. However, it is not that important or powerful as to promise a person his bright
future. For a bright future, we need intelligence, honesty, sincerity and efforts more than just a
beautiful name.

3、不定式作狀語，插入語：to achieve success,they say, opportunity may count........

The Way to Success
Write a short essay entitled The Way to Success by commenting on Abraham Lincoln's famous
remark,"Give me six hours to chop down tree, and I will spend,the first four sharpening the axe."

the preparation work on the condition that you have the longing for the success.A great proportion of
individuals hold the view that preparation makes an essential part in the process of achievement; on
the contrary, the other parts of persons are in favor of the idea that the previous arrangement is a
minor factor for success.
The essentiality of the preparation work is able to be accounted by the following example.As a matter
of fact, the method accounts more than the results for the majority of situations, For instance, a student
who wants to win outstanding academic performance ought to learn the effective and reasonable
methods and approaches for memory and comprehension of the subjects such as physics, chemistry,
mathematics and so on. The workers in the factories should learn to master the technique of operating
the machines beforehand and in this way can they produce the qualified goods and merchandises.
Generally speaking,Lincoln’s remark “give me six hours to chop down a tree and I will spend the first
four hours sharpening the axe ”reveals the imperative of make preparation.Undoubtedly, only by
arranging beforehand can we achieve success whenever we face the perplexing and tough situations.

2)account for：解釋，說明
