　　“女性是不適合讀這樣一門復雜的課程的”我的朋友承佑得意洋洋地笑著對我說。承佑認為數學是不適合女性去研究的領域。雖然他與我同齡，也沒有被過多的傳統觀念束縛著，但是他相信只有男性才有可能成為真正的數學家。在我的國家韓國，大多數人都刻板地認為在數學領域女性是天生就比不上男性的。我很強烈地反對這種過時的觀點。女性是有能力在數學領域取得跟男性一樣的成就的。我也下定決心去通過我自己的例子來反駁人們的性別刻板印象。

　　數學一直以來都給了我很大的滿足感。即使是在小學，我就很著迷于數學公式的準確性和邏輯性。我盡我所能去學習數學方面的知識，像其他學生收集郵票一樣收集諸如高斯和歐幾里德等數學家的法則。高中時參加的幾次國家級的數學競賽，包括韓國奧林匹克數學競賽，讓我得到測試自己數學能力和知識的機會。我在這些比賽的良好表現以及在韓國SAT中數學的好成績增強了我對自己能力的信心。我很自豪地證明給別人看我有能力在最高水平的舞臺上展現自我。

　　1、 要實事求是

　　很多學生或者家長在開始準備留學的時候就會很擔心自己的文書方面問題，語言等硬件達到了要求，但是軟實力跟不上，沒有得過什么獎，沒有參加過什么大型活動，也沒有擔任什么班干部，會不會在申請過程中沒有什么優勢。有的老師就會為了滿足家長的擔心去承諾幫忙編寫一些這方面的內容。

　　2、要正面積極，但是要少用形容詞

　　謙虛是我們的傳統美德，但是如果用在留學文書的寫作上，就會影響我們的申請了。不管是學校錄取官還是簽證官，都希望看到的是一個積極主動和自信的學生，你的謙虛會讓錄取官或者簽證官一頭霧水，不知道你想要干什么。了解了這一點之后，還需要注意一點就是要盡可能少用形容詞來修飾，要學會用事實來證明的你優勢。

　　3、要目標明確，言之有物

　　這一點不管是在申請還是簽證中，都是非常重要，我們常常描述了很多各種各樣的事情或是特點，然后最后是才是你的目的或是目標，遺憾的是，也許錄取官或者簽證官都沒有時間或是心情看到最后你的目的和目標，因此，要做到目標明確，言之有誤，一目了然。
