　　大熊貓不在高處活動，一般都在陸地上生活，跟松鼠相反。大熊貓性情孤僻，喜歡獨居，并常常因為季節的變化改變居住的地方，沒有固定的居住點。春天一般呆在3000米以上的高山竹林里。夏天遷到竹枝鮮嫩的陰坡處。秋天搬到向陽山坡上準備過冬。

　　大熊貓身體肥胖，四肢粗壯。頭圓，耳小，吻部短，尾巴也很短。白色的臉上長著黑色的吻部和眼圈，耳朵黑色，一條黑色的帶子從肩部伸展到整個前肢，像穿了一件黑白外套。
