上周星期三下午，我去錢氏英語學英語。曾老師告訴我們，今天不在教室里上課，而是要到人民商場去上實踐課。大家聽了都很驚奇，也十分高興。
我們在曾老師的帶領下，來到了人民商場。我們先來到了粗糧區，曾老師指著油問到：“What’s this？（這是什么？）”我們左思右想，也想不出“油”用英語怎樣說，曾老師見我們一副為難的樣子，告訴我們“油”用英語是“soy”，并且一遍一遍地教我們讀，直到讀會為止。接下來，我們又來到了零食區，看到各種各樣的零食，有少數的我能用英語說出來，但很多都不會。曾老師指著牛肉干問：“what＇＇s this?”我還沒想出來。一個同學搶先說到：“beef jerk”“對，就是‘beef jerk’。”曾老師聽了他的回答后，肯定道。這時，曾老師又指著餅干問：“what＇＇s this?”這個我知道，就立刻舉起手，搶先說道：“cookice”。曾老師向我翹起了大拇指。隨后，我們又去了肉類區、面包區……我們復習和認識了很多英語單詞。

But now, we live in the tall building. The stream is getting good. We go to work by bus or by car. There are many ring roads in my hometown. And they are wide. Our living conditions are comfortable.
Our country has developed rapidly. And we must study hard to keep uo with the times.

Once in the ancient Kingdom of Zheng there was a man who wanted to buy himself a pair of shoes. He took the measurement of his own feet with a piece of string. then he went to the market. He was looking at some shoes at the shoe-makers when he realized he had left the measurement at home. He put down the shoes and rushed home to fetch it. By the time he returned with the measurement the market had been closed. So he failed to get his shoes.
Somebody asked him, Why didnt you just try the shoes on your feet? He answered, I would rather trust the measurement than my feet.
