　　學生時代讓我難忘，而那些歲月里的奮斗更讓我銘記，謹以此文回憶我學習的歷程，激勵我的學生們。——題記

　　說起英語，我想現在的學子們都不陌生了，英語已經成了從小學到大學的必修課。招聘、升學英語都不可或缺，英語儼然成了現代人生活的一項必備技能。但我想，技能以外，英語還能帶給我們很多東西。

　　八零后的我，是從初中開始接觸英語的。初中一年級，從字母學起，初聽A、B、C的字母英文歌就被這門語言深深的吸引住了，至今對其迷戀不已。作為一名小鎮長大的孩子，要想學好英語是多么的艱難，個中滋味可能也就只有我自己知道了。初中學校在小鎮上，英語老師大都是師范中專畢業的，沒有受過專門的英語專業訓練，無論是發音還是語法分析、單詞釋義，都很難說規范，甚至有些常常是錯誤的。但就是這些，我還是很感激將我引向這門語言的初中英文老師，寧老師。那時的我，頑皮且對英語充滿了好奇，上課常常學得比別人快，但又經常地搞個怪引得哄堂大笑，讓老師的課沒法繼續。對此，寧老師不但沒有生氣，反而經常的表揚我，讓我起來背課文，上黑板去默寫單詞，推薦課外書給我讀以此開闊我的視野。最重要的是，寧老師給我推薦了一些發音方面的書讓我去讀，找課文的錄音帶讓我去聽，去模仿。寧老師說，老師的有些發音也不準確，希望你能通過聽這些磁帶練好。寧老師的這些話讓我至今難忘。真慶幸有這樣一位嚴謹的、謙虛的好老師。我想，我現在英語扎實的基本功與寧老師是分不開的，雖然沒從她那學到多少知識，但她的嚴謹、她的指點、她的包容，鼓勵了我。

　　及至高中，學英語就帶了些濃重的功利色彩了。為了高考，整天的題海。老師的講解，我的看書，也不過是圍繞高考做準備，沒有太多的印象了，也沒有太好的成績。我再次燃起對英語的興趣，是大學時期的事了。大學時，雖也要為過英語四六級而考試，但這時的學英語，自由度要大了很多。真正觸動我的是大一第一次期末英語考試，當時班里三十八人我考了三十五名，幾乎墊底，不服輸的性格讓我發誓要從頭再來。從頭再來，說起來豪邁，做起來艱辛。

　　聽力，我曾經的強項，由于高考的不考也退化了很多。這時，我先用收音機堅持每天聽校園的廣播，校園廣播聽熟了，我又開始聽VOA的慢速英語。到最后，這些都聽熟了，我又狠心買了臺CD機（現在的小孩可能沒見過），買來VOA的常速材料來聽，初聽一頭霧水，很受打擊。于是我就先預習文字然后再聽，對于每個不熟悉的發音，連讀，升降語調，輕重語氣都做標記，再反復的聽，最后這些都能適應了，應付聽力考試自然是OK了。

　　閱讀方面，我先是精研大學英語課本，將里面的每一個詞從文章里的用法到其他的釋義用法都逐一解決；再到文章里的每一句話的語法特點，句子的構成，都詳細分析；最后到作者的謀篇布局，所傳達的思想我都仔細品讀。精讀之外，更多的是讀泛讀課本以及一些課外的讀物。《大學英語》，在當時是本不錯的雜志，在圖書館發現的，好長時間內都迷上了這本雜志，里面有對四六級考試的一些解析，更多的是一些美文可以品讀，地道的`語言，優美的文筆，都深深地吸引了我。記得還從校園書店購得一本《名家名作百篇賞析》，里面的文章簡短，卻都美輪美奐，感人至深，海倫凱勒的《假如給我三天光明》，馬丁路德金的《我有一個夢想》，這些名篇至今還能出口成誦。隨著閱讀量的增大，我的詞匯量與語言能力也得到了大幅度的提高。此時的我，在班里已是英語的佼佼者了，四六級都以高分通過。我對英語的感情，也由最初的雪恥，變成了深愛。在別人看來學英語功成名就的時候，我卻更加瘋狂地愛上了英語。這時的目的當然不是考試了，而是被英語以及由這門語言而表達的思想所吸引了。閑來無事，我讀了大量的英文小說與散文。狄更斯的《雙城記》，菲茨杰拉德的《了不起的蓋茨比》，艾迪生《威斯敏斯特大教堂的遐思》等，這些作品讓我在了解當時社會、異國文化的前提下，更多了一些對人性，對人生的思考。有些東西，讀譯作是品不到的。

　　現在，每日的上課，下車間，讓我已沒有太多的時間去讀這些原著經典，但曾經的學習生活讓我難忘，收獲的知識、思想更是讓我受用。年輕的學子們啊，學英語少一份功利，多一份虔誠與思考，我想，你們的人生會更加的美好，因為書中有的不僅是知識、技能，更是智慧。

　　應用文的大作文的一個很大區別就是重格式，規律性強。格式和套路不對,一般會給閱卷老師留下很不好的印象。例如：信件一般不需要題目，通知和告示卻需要，如20xx年的題目Volunteers wanted。不只題目，還有客套話以及署名等。例如：公務信函中的稱呼，一般而言，如果是不認識的人，稱呼為敬詞+尊稱。例如，Dear Sir or Madam 或To whom it may concern;如果是寫給關系正式的某團體中的具體人，稱呼為敬詞+尊稱+名。例如，Dear Mr. xx或Dear Ms. xx;對于關系較親密的人可以直呼其名(Dear)Peter等。這都是有規律可循的。

　　應用文的這一個特點，仍然是和它的套路性、格式化有關。因此，我們更加需要用詞的準確性。需要我們對于一些語言的語體特點(genre features)進行區分。以免讓詞匯的語體影響到準確性。寫給機構的信函，應該避免使用太口語化的語言。例如06年是寫給一個機構的申請信，而08年是寫給友人的私人信件，那么在這兩年的應用文寫作中，就要求使用不同的語言。從稱呼到正文部分，08年的文章用詞都可以更口語化和隨意一些。正因為這種套路的穩定性，對于同等基礎的考生來講，這部分很難達到技壓群雄的效果，很難拉開和別人的距離。也就是說，對于所有的考生來說，得10分不容易，但是得2分甚至4分也很不容易。
