I＇d like to tell you something about the changes of my hometown. My hometown used to be a beautiful place. Thick trees and green grass could be seen everywhere. However, in order to build houses and grow more crops, people cut down more and more trees. As time went on, the whole
forest was almost destroyed. Gradually, the green hills have changed into a wasteland. As a result, sandstorms struck us now and then, from which we suffered a lot. So, I do hope that all the people should realize the terrible result of not caring about our environment. What＇s more, we should take good care of the forests and plant more trees instead of cutting them down so as to improve our living conditions.

我想跟您講講我家鄉(xiāng)的變化。過去我的家鄉(xiāng)是一個(gè)莢麗的地方。茂密的樹木和青草隨處可見。可是，為了蓋房和種更多的莊稼，人們砍了越來越多的樹。隨著時(shí)間流逝，整個(gè)樹林幾乎全被破壞了。漸漸地，青山變成了荒地。結(jié)果，沙塵暴時(shí)常襲來，給我們帶來很多災(zāi)害。所以，我真的希望所有的人們都認(rèn)識(shí)到不保護(hù)環(huán)境的嚴(yán)重后果。還有，為了改善生活條件，我們應(yīng)看護(hù)好樹林，種更多的樹而不是砍樹。

I wrote to tell you about my worry. In the past my hometown was a beautiful place with green hills around our village. But in recent years,more and more trees have been cut down because people wanted to build more houses and grow more crops. As time went on, the green hills have turned into a wasteland. It is hard to grow things on it. Besides, sandstorms struck us now and then, which brought us a lot of hardships. So, I do hope that all the people should be aware of the importance of protecting the environment. Thinking of the terrible result, we shouldn＇t cut more trees without planting them any more. Without the forest we wouldn＇t live a better life.
