Dear colleagues,

Today, I am honored to stand here and share with you my thoughts on the power of storytelling in English teaching. As English teachers, we all know that language learning can sometimes be challenging for students. However, storytelling provides a wonderful solution.

Stories are not only engaging but also highly effective teaching tools. They create a vivid and immersive learning environment, allowing students to absorb language naturally. When we tell stories, we expose students to authentic English expressions, different sentence structures, and cultural elements. For example, when sharing classic English fairy tales like “Cinderella,” students can learn new vocabulary such as “pumpkin,” “fairy godmother,” and “ball gown,” while also understanding Western cultural values.

Moreover, storytelling stimulates students imagination and creativity. It encourages them to think critically, predict the plot, and express their own opinions. In my classes, I often ask students to continue the story or create their own endings after listening. This not only improves their English writing and speaking skills but also enhances their overall language proficiency.

In conclusion, let’s make storytelling an essential part of our English teaching. By doing so, we can make language learning more enjoyable, meaningful, and effective for our students. Thank you!

Dear friends,

Today, I want to talk about the importance of building positive teacher-student relationships in English teaching. A harmonious and positive relationship between teachers and students is the foundation of successful language learning.

First of all, trust is the key. When students trust their teachers, they are more willing to participate in class activities, ask questions, and express their thoughts. To build trust, we should show our care and respect for each student. Remembering their interests, hobbies, and personal achievements can make them feel valued. For instance, if a student loves basketball, we can start a conversation with him or her about the latest NBA games in English, which not only makes the student feel connected but also provides a real - life context for language practice.

Secondly, effective communication is crucial. We should not only be good at teaching but also at listening. When students encounter difficulties in learning English, we need to patiently listen to their problems and provide appropriate guidance. Encouraging words and positive feedback can boost their confidence. For example, saying “You’ve made great progress! Keep it up!” can greatly inspire students to work harder.

In a word, positive teacher - student relationships can create a pleasant and productive learning atmosphere. Let’s strive to be not only good teachers but also friends of our students. Thank you!

Ladies and gentlemen,

Today, I’d like to discuss the role of cultural understanding in English learning. English is not just a language; it is also a carrier of Western cultures. Understanding culture is an integral part of mastering the English language.

When students learn English, they often come across cultural references that are hard to understand without cultural background knowledge. For example, idioms like “a piece of cake” or “kick the bucket” have unique cultural connotations. By learning about British and American cultures, students can better understand the true meanings of these expressions and use them correctly in communication.

Furthermore, cultural understanding helps students avoid misunderstandings. Different cultures have different values, customs, and ways of communication. For instance, in Western cultures, people tend to be more direct in expressing their opinions, while in some Eastern cultures, indirect communication is preferred. When students are aware of these differences, they can communicate more effectively in English.

As English teachers, we should incorporate cultural elements into our teaching. We can introduce cultural knowledge through texts, videos, and real - life examples. By doing so, we can not only improve students language skills but also broaden their horizons. Thank you!

Dear fellow teachers,

Today, I am going to talk about how we can use technology to enhance English teaching. In this digital age, technology has become an indispensable part of our lives, and it also brings new opportunities to English teaching.

One of the most significant advantages of technology is its ability to provide rich learning resources. Online platforms offer a vast amount of English learning materials, such as English movies, podcasts, and e - books. For example, students can watch English movies on platforms like Netflix with subtitles, which helps them improve their listening and reading skills simultaneously. Teachers can also use these resources in class to make lessons more interesting and diverse.

In addition, educational apps and software can personalize the learning experience. Apps like Duolingo and Babbel can adapt to students learning paces and levels, providing customized study plans. In the classroom, interactive whiteboards and language learning software can make teaching more engaging. Students can participate in games, quizzes, and group activities through these tools, which greatly increases their enthusiasm for learning.

In conclusion, technology has the potential to revolutionize English teaching. Let’s embrace it and make full use of it to create a more dynamic and effective learning environment. Thank you!

Dear colleagues,

Today, I want to focus on the importance of encouraging lifelong learning in English. As English teachers, our goal is not only to help students pass exams but also to inspire them to become lifelong learners of the English language.

English is a global language, and its importance is increasing in our interconnected world. Lifelong learning in English enables individuals to keep up with the latest global trends, access international information, and communicate with people from different countries. For example, in the field of science and technology, most of the cutting - edge research papers are written in English. Those who can read and understand English will have an edge in their careers.

To encourage lifelong learning, we should cultivate students interest in English from the very beginning. We can introduce English - speaking countries cultures, music, and literature to make learning more appealing. Also, we should teach students effective learning strategies, such as how to use dictionaries, how to read extensively, and how to practice speaking independently. These skills will benefit them throughout their lives.

Let’s remember that our influence as English teachers extends far beyond the classroom. By inspiring students to be lifelong learners, we are equipping them with a valuable tool for personal and professional growth. Thank you!

Dear friends,

Today, I’d like to discuss the importance of error correction in English teaching. Error correction is an essential part of the language learning process, and it plays a crucial role in helping students improve their English proficiency.

When students make errors in English, it is a natural part of the learning process. However, timely and appropriate error correction can prevent these errors from becoming ingrained habits. For example, if a student frequently makes mistakes in verb tenses, we should correct them immediately and provide clear explanations. This way, students can understand their mistakes and learn the correct forms.

Error correction also helps students build confidence. When they know that their teachers are paying attention to their language use and are willing to help them correct mistakes, they feel more secure in expressing themselves. At the same time, it encourages students to be more careful and accurate in their language learning.

However, we should also be careful not to over - correct. Too much correction may discourage students and make them afraid to speak or write in English. We need to strike a balance between correcting errors and maintaining students motivation.

In short, error correction is a powerful tool in English teaching. Let’s use it wisely to guide our students towards better English proficiency. Thank you!

Ladies and gentlemen,

Today, I am here to talk about promoting English language diversity in the classroom. English is a global language with various forms and accents, and it’s important for us to introduce this diversity to our students.

Exposing students to different English accents, such as British, American, Australian, and Indian English, helps them develop better listening comprehension skills. In real - life situations, they will encounter English speakers from all over the world. For example, when watching international news or movies, they need to understand different accents. By listening to a variety of English materials in class, students can adapt to these differences more easily.

Moreover, understanding English language diversity also broadens students cultural horizons. Different English - speaking regions have their own unique cultures, and language reflects these cultural characteristics. For instance, the vocabulary and expressions used in British English may be different from those in American English, and these differences are closely related to their respective cultural backgrounds.

As English teachers, we can use diverse teaching materials, such as English songs, movies, and podcasts from different regions, to promote language diversity. This can make our English classes more interesting and inclusive.

In conclusion, promoting English language diversity in the classroom is beneficial for students language learning and cultural understanding. Let’s embrace this diversity and create a more inclusive English learning environment. Thank you!

Good afternoon, everyone:

I am very honored to make a speech. I am Christy from Meishan Middle School.

First I ‘d like you to think about the question: Do you become a teacher by chance? That’s what happened to me! English was my favorite subject when I was a middle school student. I felt so cool when I won the first prize of NEPCS in 1997. After that everyone said to me:“Hey,Why not become an English teacher?” So I did!Actually, I liked teaching very soon. I like teaching and learning with the children. Sometimes they are my students; sometimes they are my younger brothers or sisters. Sometimes they are even my fans because I can sing many pop songs in the class! But I have to say: to be an English teacher is not easy. Why? Teacher-centered controls, threats make no sense to students now! No one can be forced to learn without a desire to learn! I am so eager to find out a good way.

But what are they? Nowadays, the use of tasks is commonplace. But I as well as other teachers is wondering: my syllabus is based on an old-fashioned textbook and is also exam-driven. How do I structure lessons by using tasks? Should I tell my students: “Today your task is to listen to me" or “Your?task is to finish part a on page 5".Everything is unchanged, isn’t itWhat makes Task? A unit of grammar? No! A collection of lexical items? No! After a long time study, I begin to know that task is a means of learning the language by its real use! Now, I’d like to give an actual example for you. That is Unit 5 a letter in a bottle from New Way Book 3 I had this lesson in the internet-equipped classroom. Each student has a computer .The target language includes shall, let’s do, writing letters.Word competition and on-line exercise are the pre-tasks.

  Next, three during-tasks.

Task 1:group-work. Discuss a plan about where to go during the national day, practise the target language: shall.

Task 2. Go to a teenager website to make foreign pen friends by the e-mail.

Task 3: write a letter to the students of our school to call on them to donate to Project of Hope the post task comes last, Ss read English news about Wangpeng who lost his life in a hostage crisis in Pakistan, and write to Annan the U.N head to call for peace As you see, in this class, task-based method creates a student-centered learning environment and information technology plays an important part. We should try to be as flexible as possible in choosing the teaching techniques. Now, Dear friends, I would like you to think about our own task. What makes a good English teacher? Just years of little sleep, over-work? Just like the candle that burns out to help others? No! We should develop ourselves, both professionally and personally. Most importantly, we should love our students.

In my heart, my students are the most powerful striving for me to work harder. I love my students! I love teaching! Before finishing my speech, I would like to say: to be an English teacher is the best choice in my life. I shall do all I can to be a good English teacher! That’s all.

  Thanks for your attention!

Good morning, honorable judges,

It is my great honour tobehereto share my teaching story.

Being an English teacher for 6 years,I found it is not easy to be a good ’s important that a good English teacher should master Englishvery well. But thatis notenough. Themore importantelement is to love students continuously.

As a teacher, to be honest,I really love my students and love being with them. However, sometimes I am tired of the burdensome work, so I can’t be patient with them. I rememered in one of my classes, many students didn’t prepare for dictation and even couldn’t read the dialogue fulently. I was furious. At the end of the class, I shouted:“Why are you so lazy? I don’t like lazy students!”All my students were silent. I rushed out of the classroom angrily. During the next ten days, I was down and kept a serious look during the class. One evening, a student text me:“Dear Mr. Song, I miss your smiles. The first day you entered our classroom, I was attracted by your big smiles. I have been expecting your smiles and lessons every day. ”After reading the message, I looked at myself in the mirror --- I did look ugly with the sad face.“Smile, please!”, I said to myself. Next morning, I went into the classroom with a big smile. The students were a little astonished, and then they quickly burst out cheerfully “Good morning, Ms. Song!”That class was a big success. They were active and cooperative during the whole class.

After that, I realized keeping smiling is really important.A smile shows the teacher is friendly and warm-hearted. A smile shows the teachers’love for their students. With teachers’smile, students will be brave and active in class. They will be eager to speak English. They will not be afraid of making mistakes or losing faces. A smile itself can make the teacher look younger and beautiful. It is good for our health.

People say that teachers are the engineers of human souls. I enjoy my ’s a glorious career in the world. It will take me a long way to be a good teacher. But I will try my best to be a good English teacher and I believe I can. That’s all! Thank you for your listening!

Ladies and Gentlemen, It’s an honor for me to be here to make a speech.. Hope you enjoy a wonderful time! First I want to say is here my topic, which is how to make my class active and interactive.

Actually , when I stepped to the 3-foot platform to be an English teacher , I tried my best to make my students practice the patterns time after time , I hoped that they would get high marks in test ver , my students didnt care about it , they showed less attention to my class.

Until one day, a student had a talk with me. He said : ”I’m learning many things that are boring, useless and not valuable. So I’m tired of studying. Miss Ma , can you understand me”At that time, I felt my class was lack of active and interactive patterns.

Then I gradually found that make class active and interactive is from active learning to interactive teaching.

First , we should be energetic and encouraging use our passion can make class want to learn English, they will act with nature and show more potential abilities. Also,we should praise in various ways. In our class we often say “good, very good”, the simple word not only make them active in class, but also foster their sense of achievement in future learing..

Secondly, we should make class meaningful and creative. In class, we can use the short and simple sentence, use the body language to communicate with students should give students clear purpose and offer them opportunities to try, to create and allow them to fail. Make sure the class relaxing and interactive, be familiar to the feeling of English language.

Coming up next is organizing games and activities know, activity is the key part of class. Including paired work, competitions, role play, guessing game, TPR activities, and so on. Whatever I use , I should often change the way. From students and I; student and student ;to students and students. Make all class.

The last but not the least is helping the class feel comfortable with asking me questions and answering my questions. To do this, do not criticize any questions from students will insure that students will continue to ask questions. Do give more chance to students ask and answer , make students and ourselves learn interactively. So after class students can listen, read, write, think without force and pressure, keeping interests and motivation .

This is my talk from my experience, sharing with you today . Thank you for your attention!

  英語教師英語演講稿 13

Good morning, Ladies and Gentlemen, It’s my great honor to be here to have a talk with you. Today I will talk something about how to make our class active and interactive.

Three years ago , when I stepped to school to be an English teacher , I tried my best to make all the students practice the patterns in many ways, And I hope that they would get high marks in all the tests ver , they didnt care about it ,and they were not interested in my class at all.

Until one day, a boy had a talk with me. He said“I’m learning many things that are boring and useless. So I’m tired of studying. ”At that time, I realized my class was lack of active and interactive patterns. And I knew it was time to change our class.

In order to make the students concentrate on our class, we must change the old ways we used before.

Firstly, we should be active and energetic use our passion can make students want to learn in the class we can use many simple words such as “good, excellent and well done”, because these simple words not only make them active in class, but also foster their sense of achievement in learning.

Secondly, we should make our class creative and meaningful. We can organize games or activities you know, activity is the key part of class. And we can use simple sentences and body language to communicate with students. We should give them clear purpose and offer them opportunities to practice, to create and at the same time allow them to fail.

The Third part is making the students feel comfortable with asking and answering questions. In order to do this, please do not criticize any questions from students will insure that they can continue to ask questions. Do give our students more chance to ask and answer. Then after class they will listen, read, write, and use English with interests and happiness.

Finally I want to say, I believe in these ways our students will enjoy every minutes in our class.

OK. That’s all for my talk. Thank you for your listening! Thank you!
