Good afternoon, ladies and gentleman! First, I’d like to express my gratitude for being invited here to present my topic, which is "Internet Civilization".

Last year, a mini-movie hit the Internet. It tells a story of an ordinary girl who once behaved not well in the bus. Someone took the video of what she did and published it on the Internet. The next day, her behavior was known to the world. She was condemned by everyone, whether strangers in the virtual world or her real world colleagues and friends. Not able to bear all this blame, she finally suicided. This tragic story represents the violence of the Internet from a unique perspective, and it arises people’s thinking on the civilization of the Internet.

Nowadays, with the rapid development of the Internet, every user can have access to the instance news in a quick way and have no difficulty in giving their own opinions on the Internet. Nevertheless, it is the unlimited "freedom”, in other words, the lack of supervision, that brings the hidden trouble, or potential crisis to the Internet. As they are not constrained, people can publish speeches without limit, resulting in many irresponsible speeches on the Internet. Some of them are harmless, but others aren’t. The belief between social members, the social order, and even public security may be severely damaged.

But even more terrible is that some people make up rumors to attack others through the Internet. The most famous example is that, in 2015, a well-known Korean female star hanged herself in her apartment because of the rumors from the network. This incident shocked the world. But sadly, the death of this poor actress didn't stop it. Today, we can still read the news about the Internet violence from newspa-pe-rs from time to time.

The violence of network is much more harmful than the body violence. Wrong rumors can thoroughly destroy a person’s mind. Whoever spreads rumors ought to be condemned without mercy, for he is just like a killer who is out of responsibility. In order to civilize people’s behavior on the Internet, laws should be made to supervise the manipulation. But more importantly, every social individual should come together to fight against the Internet violence. If everyone can say no to rumors, and can report them to the police in time instead of spreading them without thinking, it'll make a big difference, and the harmony and civilization of the Internet world will be on its way.
