Good morning ladies and gentlemen：

Today, I want to say something about goals.

Shakespeare said：‘To be or not to be ,this is a question.’ As a youth, since we have chosen to live, I think we should set goals for life. Today, I just want to publish some of my personal points.

First of all, the most important is that we should know the meaning of the goal. I want to remind you that goal is a plan of life, rather than a dream. I used to set lots of goals, but few of them realized. The reason why I gave up those goals is that most of them are unrealistic. So I want to say when you make a goal, you should guarantee the goal can be completed. Otherwise everything would be meaningless. And then make sure, the goal is for the life not just for a short time. Therefore trying to look at the problem with a long term vision is also very important. of course, it doesn’t mean goals must not be changed. You can adjust according to the situation if you think it is more meaningful to realize the value of life.

Second, when you have made a goal, does it mean everything is ok? No, not at all! To achieve this goal is much more important Even if the goal is meaningful. if you don’t achieve, it means nothing. Therefore to be persistent you may as well try you best achieve each of you goals well Even if the goals are just plain, you can sill succeed. Remember, it’s extraordinary if you do every ordinary thing well.

These are all my opinions I hope these suggestions can help you achieve your goals in life and have a better tomorrow.

尊敬的評委，先生們，女士們，各位同學(xué)們，早上/下午好!

I’m very glad to be here. My name is Wangqihang.

非常高興能參加比賽。我的名字叫王啟珩。

I’m ten years old. I come from Huanxi Primary school. I’m in Cla3, Grade 5.

我今年10歲。我來自環(huán)西小學(xué)，現(xiàn)在五年級三班。

As a happy boy，I have many hobbies, such as sports, playing piano, singing, and drawing.

我是一個(gè)快樂男孩。我有許多愛好，比如體育運(yùn)動(dòng)，彈鋼琴，唱歌，畫畫等。

Among them, travel is my favorist one. I have visited some other cities, like Beijing, Hainan, Chongqing, Guangxi, Qindao, Dalian and so on.

旅游是我的最愛。我去過不少地方，如北京，海南，重慶，廣西，青島，大連等。

Everywhere I went, I enjoyed the natural scenery and appreciated the human landscape very much.

每到一處都盡情享受那的自然風(fēng)光與人文風(fēng)情。

Not only that, I want to go abroad to take in the beauty of the custom of other countries in the future.

不僅如此，我還希望能出國領(lǐng)略各國的民俗風(fēng)情。

And I even dream about what the life will be when we are on planets other than our Earth.

甚至我還夢想著在地球外的其它星球上生活將會(huì)是怎樣的。

That is why I’m so interested in the following scientific report recently.

所以最近我對下面這篇科學(xué)報(bào)道非常感興趣。

二. 演講部分：

在我們享受的時(shí)候懂得珍惜

Cherish what we are enjoying

It is a report about the new planet which holds possibility for life.

這是一篇關(guān)于發(fā)現(xiàn)了一顆有生命可能性的星球的報(bào)告。

It shows that European astronomers have discovered a new planet, they name it Gliese 581 c.

說歐洲天文學(xué)家們發(fā)現(xiàn)了一顆新的星球，代號為“Gliese 581C”。

It is about 20.5 light years from ( 。)our earth. They estimated the planet's average temperature at between 0 and 40 degrees Centigrade. It is orbiting the red dwarf star, Gliese 581.

它距地球約20.5光年。他們估計(jì)它的平均溫度約在0℃～40℃之間。它圍繞著紅矮星Gliese 581運(yùn)行。

Most important of all, it’s an earth-like planet. There might be mountin, sea and liquid water.

最重要的是，這顆星球和地球非常相似，它可能有山巒，有海洋，還有液態(tài)水。

So the astronomers believe that it is potentially habitable.

所以科學(xué)家們相信它能支持生命的存在。

However, Gliese 581 c might be "tidally locked" to it’s sun-the dwarf star the way our moon is to the Earth.

然而，就像月球一樣，它只會(huì)公轉(zhuǎn)，不會(huì)自轉(zhuǎn)。

It means that it must always show its same face to its sun, and that while one side would be too fiercely hot to support life, the other side would be too cold.

這就意味著它面對紅矮星的一面會(huì)太熱不適合生命體而背對紅矮星的一面則會(huì)很寒冷。

This report makes me to realize that how valuable our earth is.

這使我認(rèn)識到我們地球有多么珍貴!

Everyday, we can see sunrise and sunset.

我們每天都可以看到日出日落。

The day and night keeps on exchanging. It’s not too hot in the daytime while not to cold at night.

一天早晚有變化，晝夜不停地交換使白天不過分熱，夜晚不過分冷。

Everyday, I go to school cheerfully in the morning and skip along at the way home as the sun set.

清爽的早晨，我可以背著小書包高高興興地去上學(xué)。夕陽西下，我又蹦又跳地回到家。
