1.As a highly profitable industry, tourism needs to develop new items of interest. My suggestion is landscape plus Chinese calligraphy. I think it's quite potential for two reasons. The first is that Chinese calligraphy is an art which is so naturally and nicely incorporated with China's abundant resources of landscape. The second reason is that Chinese calligraphy has such fascination for foreign tourists especially westerners. Imagine a scenery spot displaying artists' masterpieces of Chinese calligraphy! Such blend can nowhere be enjoyed outside of China.

2.In recent years, tourism becomes more and more popular with Chinese people. People discutourist plans with each other, book train and plane seats well ahead of time, lest they should all be booked up. The first reason of this tourist craze should be attributed to the change within people's mind. People like to relax themselves in their holidays.

Enjoying oneself froin time to time is replacing the previous belief in continuous hard work. The second reason is the swelling of their wallets, which enables people to afford the tourist expenses. In response to the travelers' need, local authorities try to exploit their own characteristic tourist resources in order to make profit on tourism. As a result, tourism becomea more and more popular. I also enjoy touring, both for relaxation and enrichment of knowledge.

I hope we will be provided with more and more scenery spots and interesting holiday resorts.

3.Tourism is becoming an increasingly important industry in China. Our government has taken effective measures to improve this new industry over the past few years. For example, it has explored many appealing Scenic and historic spots. Tourists from all over the world come in floek to China every year.

But people differ as to the advantages and disadvantages of the tourist industry.Those who are in favour of tourism argue that our country can benefit a lot from it. For one thing,it is a large source of foreign exchange and an important part of national planning aswell. For another,we may well say thattourism can help to promote the understanding and friendship among the peoples of different countries.The main reason why some people oppose tourism is that the masses cannot benefit from it because the pressure of too many tourists means the higher prices of goods.

Inspite of this, I think its gains outweigh its losses. It also meansmore employment and more income for the country. For this reason the tourist industry Should be developed vigorously so as to meet the needs of our socialist economy.
